He was only on for about 10 minutes, Wickham started ahead of him for some reason. He didn't get any chances.

As stated above. Really need clauses in the loan contracts of our most promising players stating that if they aren't playing at least 50%of the time after a month then they can be recalled at no cost and they still surrender the loan fees.

I think Bamford's step up to playing for an EPL team on loan was appropriate and necessary. His achievements at Middlesbrough were impressive and I think he was worthy of moving up the next step to prove his worth before he was ready to be a part of our squad in the near future.

 

However, whether Crystal Palace was the right fit for him or not remains to be seen but it hasn't been a positive start so far but he has the capabilities to impress if he's given the chance to do so.

I agree he should be getting Premier League minutes, but he's not getting them at the moment. I simply stated that getting minutes for Middlesbrough would have been better than sitting on the bench all season.

 

Palace got 10th place last season and it was clear Pardew was a good fit for them. Naturally they were going to try and build on this with players like Cabaye coming in. Maybe we should have known going from the Championship to a top 10 team in the PL would be a step too high for him.

I know they hadn't bought Wickham then but we should really be more careful, this isn't the first time this is happening. We should just invoke some recall clauses or something.
