Im the first to stand up and say I dont think Balotelli is good enough for us, not evem close. But cmon, its ONE game at the world cup.

I agree... Perhaps Andy Murray can replace the Queen when we win the treble next year. Balotelli is a headcase but apparently so is Costa. I say sign the pair and let the master Jose deal with them. Jose can be Yoda for all I care as long as these two will score goals! Doubtful for the pair to come but be pretty awesome if they did. Guaranteed 35-40 goals between the pair and that is double what we got last year.

Balotelli is so god damn lazy, he wouldn't improve us at all, he hasn't exactly set Serie A alive has he? That's a far poorer league than ours. Disappears far to often for my liking, his whole performamce depends on which mood he's in, this is one I just don't get people wanting.

Agree with bobby. The big difference between Costa and balotelli is if both ate having a bad game Costa still gives you effort and closing down, balotelli stands in the middle of the pitch pouting with his hands on his hips.

If I had a choice (based on the WC so far) it would be Benzema hands down.

Balotelli was booked in the first half of a game, I spent 14 min of the 15 min HT break talking to him about calming down, not to do anything silly & certainly do not get booked again, ok boss no worries he tell's me, what happened, 2mins into 2nd half he gets yellow card & is sent off, shrugs as he goes pass me as much to say it happens, no never again thanks.

Where is that guy Slawth gone? I remember when he wanted Balotelli over Remy and we got into an argument over it. Remy all day everyday.

Suffice to say Balotelli is toilet.

Got to say I'm loving that new dimension.

There's no doubt that Balotelli has potential and he's hugely talented but his attitude, demeanour and ridiculous behaviour is what convinced me that staying away from him was the best option for the club. He has the attributes of a great striker, but his attitude and unpredictable behaviour is appalling and that's why I'm glad we never signed him.

 

Also he's never been able to settle down at one club in his career. At Inter Milan, he was unsettled and couldn't cement a spot in the first team.  Manchester City was his big chance and he blew it and going back to Italy to play for AC Milan where he would supposedly be rejuvenated in his home country and he'd be away from the British media as he said himself in his first press conference when he signed for AC Milan had also proved to be a failure so I can't see him staying at Liverpool in the long term either.

 

When one of the best managers in the world in Jose says he can't be managed, then you know this guy isn't going to last the distance at any club as his erratic behaviour and general laziness will kill the team culture of any football club. By signing Balotelli, our club culture would have been detrimental and the dressing room would have had considerable problems so we did the right thing here. Liverpool fans can keep saying to themselves that he'll 'come good' but he's a flop and for as long as he stays at the Reds, the longer they'll remain mediocre and irrelevant. We can only hope this eventuates!

It's comic relief when he is doing it at a different club, if he was here i doubt we would find it so funny. The guy is a nightmare, he's not worth the hassle and he isn't THAT great either.
