I went for Ash today. Defensively, I though he was very composed and assisted Hazard for the assist with a great backheel.

HM: Hazard...great game from him too.

Hazard, purely for the feint before his shot to score. Sublime.

Hazard again today, mention for Azpi who is so consistent either side and Cole who looked like he was going to have a nightmare first fifteen minutes but turned his game round and came out looking good.

He was causing him problems all of the first half, the second half when we kicked on he didn't have much defending to do. His backheel to set up Hazard's goal was very good though, but he has regressed badly this season which is sad to see.

Still prefer Ivano/Dave though.

I agree that he has regressed badly this season and i would prefer Bertrand to start over him.I wouldn't give Cole a new contract either.

I would yes. Ivan is a decent right back but a better centre back. Azpil is a better right back than ivan.  Bertrand and cole are better left backs than azpil.

I respect your opinion, but for me Cole was nowhere near our best player today. However once he got over his problem with elmohammady he had a good game for a change. For me Willian had a more productive game than Cole, for one.My motm was Hazard. He had 2 men on him for most of his time ,and was a constant threat. I'd like a new lb next season, but don't be surprised if Cole is still with us.

Not sure what you can warrant that on, Azpi has been our stand out defender this season when played on the right AND the left. Ivanovic has also been solid at right back, going forward he can carry the call but needs to work on his crossing. For me, both are clear choices.

Agreed. If he continues on this trajectory, Hazard could be in the discussion for world's best player. Just has to show the consistent greatness he's shown the past few months. Exciting to think about as a Chelsea supporter.

Eden, one more time (three man of the match awards for him on the trot!) - Would want him to win premiership player of the month really! The boy deserves it.

 

Again though (and I cant understand why NO ONE voted for him) Willian was fantastic, energetic, passionate and dedicated to his role ... even in the 89th minutes, 2-0 up, he was pressing high and pilling on the pressure! 

 

All in a ll, good game (2nd half especially) and nice to have Torres scoring one of his more 'typical' goals - confidence is on the rise (DARE I SAY IT!)
