Mohamed Salah to Chelsea

Featured Replies

I think Salah was typical of chelsea buying a player that Jose didnt want or pick himself so he didnt get played. I think he is a good player but was never going to get a fair chance with us under Jose. Its easy to find a gif of him missing the target but im sure you could find one of Hazard or Oscar doing the same if you looked.

Some Waterstones vouchers and a Kinder Egg.

I think we did quite well.

It better be the blue boys kinder egg.

The Jose comment about Salah been too instinctive and not following patterns of play is worrying, isn't that what you get from wingers? It is that unpredictability that gives them the edge in the opposition half, you take that away from a winger and make him follow a structure and he ends up being crap.

As others have mentioned, sooner rather than later, Hazard may think to himself 'sod this - I can go somewhere and actually play with freedom to realize my full attacking potential' especially if the team keeps struggling like this.

Has it come to the point when we're doubting Mourinho because we no longer have Salah?, everybody knows some players struggle in the prem and it's never a massive surprise when they leave they look better.

What is odd is that if we we're playing well I doubt many would be caring what the likes of Salah is getting up to, not many were calling out for him to get on the pitch when he was here.

There have obviously been some good players that have been let go that Jose didn't feel he could get the best out of and when he's not getting the best out of the ones he kept hold of those departures are going to look like mistakes.

I feel fairly confident he's kept the ones he feels fit the way he wants to play best even though up to now it hasn't been too evident.

Seeing as this is a Mohamed Salah thread, I think it's fair to say, instead of that gif, which captures very aptly the desperation of a fringe player trying to force things, a fairer reflection of his ability would be this.

Also, you are right, Uno. But imagine him in Barca or Real or Bayern, where he could probably score 20-25+ goals quite comfortably (Bayern, I mean)

Chippy, it's more the fact that he's sticking so stubbornly with players that are clearly failing him.

Previously, he would be quite happy to drastically change things, even to change the system as he did when he started to use a 4-4-2 diamond. It's the fact that he is using the same struggling players and trying to force the same system to work - almost as if he's hoping for things to just somehow fix themselves. Added to that, blaming things like luck, mentioning that Football players aren't motivated and don't have the same passion as Rugby players, and a general sense that he is losing the same level of respect from his players.

I hope of course that I am wrong, just like most fans.

I do want him to remain for as long as possible, but I fear not making the CL would be the end.

Although he is doing ok at Roma, he still wasnt good enough for us.

We are linked with Pjanic, so i thought I would watch a Youtube Video of him. Some of the misses salah had in the clips were outrageous. Reminds me of walcott, but with even less technique. Very quick and dangerous, but end product very shoddy.

It's just weird that they've updated the site regularly and Salah is still mentioned as a loanee.

Like I said before, they forgot to take him off.

A few years ago Tottenham had some sh*tty player on their webpage for over a year after he was sold. And they also update their site quite often :]

chef,

I contacted Chelsea FC about that. I should have answer for you in a few hours.

I wouldn't hold my breath while waiting for it. The first team list on the official site doesn't seem to be a very high priority for the person who is in charge of updating the site. If there is such a person.

You are right m, they didn't email me yet :( I said in a few hours because they were usually pretty fast in the past.
