Diego Costa to Chelsea

Either our medicals are complete bullsh*t or costa has made the mother of all recoveries in 2 weeks

To be fair the Spanish medical team must have had faith in his fitness to take him to the World Cup ahead of Negredo, Soldoldo and Llorente.

Don't think so to be honest. They can afford to take the gamble and if he isn't up to it they can just replace him with one of those 3 you mention.

There are videos of him training in Spain over the past few days, must have been sorted enough by now to pass...

I feel like BBC already reported something like this a few weeks ago, I remember talking about it with my mate.

They reported the fee was agreed. This is confirming a medical has been completed

Sky's caught up now.

Amusingly the story starts "Sky Sources report..."

So their sources are... The BBC and The Guardian who beat them to it by about an hour.

To be fair not often that happens. It is normally the other way round

Gotta wonder what this is doing in the Spain camp, you got Torres being replaced by his teammate and a bloke that has also started a lot of games for Spain in that same position also apparantley on the verge of joining us.

I signed on FM for 40mil, talk about ridiculous.

How? His release clause is £32m at the start of the game. You can get him for 28M if you negotiate

Not going to lie. I don't really want him.

Would the club not be better to wait until after the WC to finish this. What if Spain over play him and he gets a long term injury?

What if they don't and he has an amazing World Cup and somebody else chucks a large bundle of cash at him?

It'll be interesting to see what shirt number he takes with Torres on 9 and Ba on his preferred 19.

Glad this move is getting closer. We've missed a decent striker for a number of years now.
