One of the things which has impressed me, as well as his goals, is his distribution. I was sort of expecting good hold up play but his first time lay offs have generally been excellent as well. Seems to have a good understanding with Hazard too.

 

Moves the ball on very quickly as well, usually first or second touch.

It hasn't even crossed my mind the way he has scored them, I just can't believe we actually have a consistent goal scoring striker... Do you guys realize we haven't had one of these in 5 years? After Drogbas amazing season I can't really remember when we had a fierce forward.

 

Also please don't bing up Torres 20 goal season, I am talking about the Premier League here.

totally agree.

We need this, someone who just has a habit of being there when it counts and having the instinct to just bury it, no dithering or fancy passes.. get the ball in the net, goal.

They all count. The best strikers score most of their goals from in and around the box, where they should be. Not piss farting around trying chips from 25 yards or magic back heels and overhead kicks.

The guy will score goals.. they might be ugly and scrappy but at the end of the day we all agree that goals win games and points win prizes.

It's refreshing to see a man who doesn't give half a sh*t what anybody thinks of him. It's only been two games and he is already a marked improvement on the big pile of anxiety issues he succeeded as our lead striker.

I don't think he was that good on Saturday, but he picked his moment to score the goal, and that's what really counts at the end of the day. 

He's taking shots on from whhete he can and that's mighty encouraging. Let's just hope he keeps scoring

Yeah you're right, strange time to break and dodgey source but has still sh*t me up a bit. I swear if its true and it ruines a potential Torres exist as well as ruling Costa our for a few months ill be so pissed off.

Also whilst I'm not a doctor/physio, wouldn't he have to go for some kind of scan or test in order to confirm how bad the injury is? One which would take a day or 2 to get the results of? Giroud injured himself at the weekend yet the prognosis was only made public today...

If it's a strain then it's gonna take about 1 month to 6 weeks I believe. If it's a tear, a couple of months or worse as far as I know. 

He had a hamstring problem at the end of last season didn't he? Was a doubt for the WC. One would hope if he's got a recurring problem our medical staff would have noticed.

Seen nothing elsewhere, got SSN on now and zilch mention of anything Chelsea related.

Hope is not true, be a real shame if his top start with us came to an abrupt end.

Oh well, even if it's true, at least we got 2 games of seeing a proper striker instead of Torres.
