Aye! A new fullback coming in should free up Azpi to venture forward on the right, and we would hopefully see more moments like in the last game, with him getting assists. I am surprised we're not looking at Jackson Martinez with the rumours that Lukaku may leave. Remy is also worth a shout, if he's willing to be the "third striker" -- with Demba clearly unhappy. Costa/Martinez or Lukaku/Remy would have me ecstatic haha.

So many rumours about strikers,its hard to tell which ones are legit. But apparently, the other striker we are currently looking at is Jackson Martinez (got the green light to bid) and Mario Mandzukic. Those are the two most frequent names doing the rounds at the minute. Not sure about Remy though. He could be another Ba. Spend an entire season on the bench. I would much rather Lavezzi!

I'm sure we'll have 3 strikers next season.  2 pros and 1 kid.

I'm glad the Torres saga is coming to an end. He scored two massive goals for us against Barcelona and Benfica, and had an incredible game against Man City at the beginning of this season.  For these contributions we will remember Torres fondly, but let's be glad it's finally over. The club has been weighed down by this albatross long enough. 3 years, wow.

I couldn't believe it myself, thought there would be some poacher goals, but a couple of them were barely his!

Don't see why we need to sell Oscar. The guy is just burned out as he played an unreal number of games i the last 2 years (Olympics, Chelsea's incredibly long season, Confederations Cup and this season too). He needs a bit of rest which he will hopefully get after the World Cup. Oscar is a very talented player and its ridiculous to say we should sell him. Personally, I think we need a striker (Diego Costa), a left back (Shaw, Rodriguez, Moreno, Felipe Luis) and a CM/DM to compliment Matic. 

I don't watch Spanish football so have no idea of how good or not Costa is. Let's say the two matches against us I wasn't overly impressed, however it has to be said that he was up against possibly the best CB pairing in Europe at the minute. I really think JT and Gaz are that good, although I would. They have gone up against some of the best strikers in europe and domestically, and no one has got any real change out of them, so maybe a little unfair to judge Costa on the back of those 180 minutes.

 

Either way, we all know we need a top drawer striker, bring back Lukaku and Bamford, don't forget about Piazon or Lalkovic. Maybe time to start blooding a few of these.

Costa even in defeat today looked the business and is EXACTLY what we need. But along with Lukaku we need one more and he is anyone's guess.

He's the most realistic target for us to get over the summer but oh man... Jose has his work cut out fastening him down to the deck of the ship.

 

Diego Costa is the personification of a loose cannon. Devastating and can cause a lot of damage but prone to flying off the handle seemingly at the smallest provocation. Still, he is a cannon with shot in him and that is something we need.

 

I would go for Edinson Cavani if he came up. Is he worth potentially losing Oscar over? 

We need a striker everyone but us hates. Drogba for most of his time here was ridiculed for his antics by opposition fans and critics but deep down they knew he was a nightmare for them because he delivered for us. Deep down every fan felt sorry for Torres including us and everyone knew his Liverpool days were over therefore no threat to them. After the Ivanovic bite Suarez got stick and look how he responded. Sturridges attitude was questioned how he has delivered too. Everyone outside Chelsea hated David Speedie, JFH , they felt Sorry for Sutton - the list can continue ...
