Liverpool v Chelsea (PL) 27/04/14 KO 14:05 BST

It's easy to criticize when you have hindsight.

People were right to be concerned. He did have a howler against Sunderland but he redeemed himself with a commanding performance.

I think a howler might be the wrong word Joey, he came on rusty and made a save where we all think and expect Cech would have held the ball, he could have done better by knocking it away to the side if he felt he couldn't catch it but that didn't happen, after that he might have looked a bit nervy and that's understandable but apart from some dodgy kicking, I don't think he done too bad and certainly sharpened up nicely for the next game, best back up we've had since Carlo that's for sure.

Welp,

work just told me I've to be on a 6am flight on Sunday.  Guess I'll either be happy or sad when I land.  Maybe a good thing I'll avoid all the furor

Blimey that's abit rough. What do you for work?

Frankly the Premier League gets what it deserves if we field a weakened 11.

The absolute rubbish served up by Mike Dean took us out of the race, so why should we attempt to contribute to a spectacle?

One would say for the sake of our fans but I think most of our fans are more interested in the CL game next week.

It would be a neat "f**k you" to the FA though. Field a weakened starting XI and just park the bus, creating a snooze-fest before snatching a cheap goal to send Anfield into meltdown. How's that for your spectacle FA? You've spent the last two months engineering a Liverpool title victory for their 25th anniversary of Hillsborough, which we are all f**king tired of hearing about, so you can enjoy us pissing on the parade.

To be fair though your "weakened" starting 11 will probably still be worth more than our starting 11 and regardless of who you put out there the bus will firmly be parked and all the neutrals will have switched the channel on the telly.

Haven't Liverpool just posted 90 million pounds worth of losses over the last 2 seasons, and would fail UEFA's FFP criteria if they had managed to get into Europe in recent memory?

Isn't Biter Luis supposed to be worth beyond what Madrid paid for Bale? So for the sake of argument, call it 100m. And our reserves are worth more than that?

How's your maths??

I really like the idea of us putting out a second string side this weekend, lads with a point to prove rather than lads with there mind on the bigger game coming up. We need our number 1 team all fresh and ready for athletico, that game is a must win, as for Liverpool, a win would bring great satisfaction, especially if we do them with our reserves, but the title is now most likely no longer at stake so our priority is elsewhere.

It would be amazing if we beat them with our second team. If we had old heads like frank directing and leading by example we could well see a determined display

I hope this game turns out to be the dullest nil nil ever witnessed, the sad attempts of Skys "experts" as they try to talk it up should be most amusing...(Sorry for any Chelsea fans forking out to travel up there)

I also hope that tight trousered tw*t Jaymee "top top"Redknapp strains a b*llock most painfully, live on TV...(of course I would love it if we won but sadly I cannot see that happening)

In other news, day 210 of the Media's Scouse love in, features Sturridge in last nights Evening Standard saying he won't be able to stop himself celebrating if/when he scores against us on Sunday. As  for Sky they might as well just rename themselves Liverpool TV and have done with it.

It must be pretty galling if you're a City fan, never mind a Chelsea supporter.

People and the press keep going on about our "second team". We're not going to play anything of the sort.

Cole and Azpi will be in the back four, along with Ivan and Gaz. Matic, Lamps and Mikel in midfield, Salah, Schurrle and Ba up top.

Hardly second string, is it? Ake and Kalas will not get a look-in.

Not sure about Cole, if Jose wants him to play vs Atletico he is likely to be rested
