So bittersweet, games like last week cost us, even a draw would of meant city and Liverpool only needed draw. As much as I wanna enjoy the result I can't get past the frustration of dropping stupid points.

Having sakd that is still the most satisfying win all season.

I won't downplay the effort or quality of our performance tonight by calling it a B team, but to go to a team that has won 11 straight games and that is about to win their first league title in 2 decades, while resting 8 players, and still come out with a convincing win, is a something you will only experience as a Chelsea fan.

 

It seems like every single year we get treated to ridiculous performances and games that a fan of any other team can only see in their wildest dreams, how lucky we all are, really.

What a match. We may have our wobbles against Palace and Villa, but we rise to the big occasions like no other. The Scousers and their media groupies thought it was theirs already.

 

Ba demonstrated his various limitations, but jeez he's handy when you need a goal! Very calmly taken too. Well done in particular to Kalas. Couldn't have had a tougher debut and acquitted himself well. Schurrle, Schwarzer and Matic had excellent games I thought. Kudos to Torres right at the end for his unselfish pass which killed the game.

 

And finally, a special mention to the deserving Stevie Me, who has more match-winning goals and assists for Chelsea than some Chelsea players. He then selflessly ran the clock down with 100 pot shots from 25 yards.

I loved the bit when the camera panned across the stand, Carragher, Rush, Dalglish, Hansen - all looking ashen faced.  Laughed? I nearly cried!

Our victory should calm the scouse w**k fest.

 

We win our remaining games now. That's all we can do.
