Liverpool v Chelsea (PL) 27/04/14 KO 14:05 BST

Just so frustrating to think if we'd beat Sunderland :(

Yeah but that's football eh, next season we sort that out with a proper striker then we will be right up there, we have the beating of the top teams with Jose. He's head and shoulders above any manager in our league and it has showen this season despite our lack of strikers.

We win the CL and pool win nothing....that will do me.

Proper nob, said it for a while but even if Pool win the league this year I don't think they'll be anywhere near it next season

I think he's a decent bloke. Jose wouldn't have employed him otherwise

Liverpool may yet win the title but, after the nauseous media build up to this game, it feels great to win this one. Great performance and is great to see a player like Kalas come in and do so well. What a match for your first start. Cole looked back to his best and Schwarzer looks like he is getting younger by the game :).

We need to turn our focus on to the Champs League. Lets see how everything looks in the league after that. I would say we are the outsiders for the title right now but the way things have gone this season I wouldn't bet against more twists and turns. At least we are almost certain of top 3 now.

If City go on to win the league Jose ought to be given the freedom of Manchester!

Anyway enjoy the day fellow blues :). I certainly will!!

Haha, Brendan "The Bitter bar steward" Rogers having a go a Mourinho. Thought he had a bit of class as well. Just shows you what a job at Anfield does to you.

Talking about Chelsea parking two buses, is he mental? Off the ball, Chelsea were defending amazingly, and then on the ball they got it up to Ba as quick as and shurrle and co. helped out counter-attack. That's not parking the bus, that's a Mourinho Masterclass.

Liverpool had one plan: Attack, attack, attack, and they got done because Rogers forgot that defending is (imo) more important than attacking.

I think he's a decent bloke. Jose wouldn't have employed him otherwise

I agree. Don't mind Rodgers. I'm not surprised he was ranting. No matter what he said before the game he must have been feeling the stress and pressure of being so close. I'm sure the result today was devastating for him.

Any guesses on Jose's clown chant? "They wanted the clowns" I'm guessing he meant everyone wanted Liverpool to win the league and calling them clowns, Liverpool aren't his favourite team

I'm guessing somebody was singing "Send in the Clowns" ?

Life really is never boring when you are a Chelsea fan eh? They may call our football boring but boy do they get our blood pumping.

I will repeat though, HOW DID WE LET THE LEAGUE SLIP AGAINST SUNDERLAND!!!

HAHAHAHAH! Don't know about you lot but even in my dream last night it didn't go to plan as well as that. Stevie g slipping and handing us the first goal, Torres playing a part in the 2nd goal to kill it off and us fielding a 2nd string team oh and let's not forget the "pundits" faces in the crowd and in the studio looking like a bunch of slapped arses.

Superb performance! Every single one of them should be f**king proud of themselves because I know I am. Rock solid at the back and kalas was immense! Midfield worked hard and battled. Ba was a beast! Jose spot on as usual I f**king love that man!

Just a great day to be a chelsea fan! They won't win it now I've never been more sure of anything in my life. Let's pray for a favour from everton and palace next week!

Brendan Rodgers class? You actually thought he had class? Oh come on mate that is the manager who said he will never leave Swansea and went straight to Liverpool the next week when he got an offer.

Didn't he also cheat on his wife? Jose just isn't scared to say his opinion, Rodgers acts nice on the cameras but that doesn't convince me, if he got an offer from Barcelona next week he would be there in a shot.

Everything about that game was so satisfying. Definitely one of my favourite performances of the year.

The post match interviews show how biased the media are. We set up to stifle and counter against the best attacking team in the league, and we executed that perfectly.

If Wenger or Pellegrini got the result we did they would be praised. Yet apparently we should be ashamed of giving a good Liverpool side the respect they've earned this season by not allowing them the time and space to be effective.

We're also in the last four of the biggest club competition in the world, yet there was barely a mention of it last week. Any discussion of how Ba, Schurrle, Kalas etc may have staked a claim to be included in this massive game? Nope.

We're the club everybody loves to hate, yet we've single handedly kept a 4th English side in the UCL and are one of the most feared sides to draw in European football.

Great stuff from the boys and Jose. We all love you. KTBFFH

Mate please shutup with this negativity! Just enjoy a f**king great win which puts us back in the mix. We are still in with a chance with 2 games to go. Anything can happen. Be frustrated about sunderland at the end of the season if we don't do it.

Yes, it was a masterclass of defending, and yes we parked two buses, but we did score two goals as well. Rodgers was outwitted by his mentor today, and I thought he was pretty gracious in defeat

I think the Clowns comment comes from the fact everybody wanted us to open up and play toe to toe with them, and end up looking like Clowns? But we stood up and bossed them for 95 minutes instead :-)

We won, I'm drinking heineken, I've a day off tomorrow, the sun is shining, there's loads of heineken in the fridge, we won, did I mention we won.

PS When I drink I send out mucho love, it's indiscriminate female or male. Apologies in advance, but we did win.

Rogers said more or less what I'd expect our manager to say in the same circumstance (the hand ball seems to have gone completely over ever ones head now...) at the end of the day, as much as I despise that lot, he is there manager and needs to protect them. ... I expect them to take 6 from 6 now so it's not city to get maximum points as well, and a sh*t load of goals

Could not have said it any better. I find it utterly hilarious how Liverpool supporters are now saying how they hope we get eliminated from the CL on Wednesday. Shows just how moronic they are. May the Binfield trophy cabinet gather dust for many more years.

I can't wait for all the articles written by the scouse loving media tomorrow, even though they will be full of loathing for us i'll have a good chuckle at their expense.

I thought Rodgers handled that interview with fairly good grace, nothing like the comments on here had me expecting. The remark about us parking two buses was delivered with a smile on his face and is only really an insult if you decide to take it as an insult. Compare that to some of the stuff Jose has said this season (I'm thinking after the West Ham) and it seems very hypocritical for people to be calling him a classless/bitter w**ker.

Gracious by bringing up how much money we spend while Liverpool has spend millions he's for ever bringing money into same when the played spurs. He shouldn't forget Romans money lined he's pocket for many a year. The Liverpool way don't kick the ball out when a player is injured. Only one David Brent

Was over at my mates for this one. Oh how I laughed when Stevie "Captain Destiny" Gerrard slipped. I mean of all Liverpool players it had to be him. Seems like a slip has cost a few clubs big this season.

So we did field a "B" squad and won pretty bloody comfortably away at the premier league champions home ground. When you look at the likes of Joe Allen, Lucas, and Coutihno vs our "B" selection, how could you think we were so vastly inferior? Can't wait to hear from Mourinho after this one. Aww so many Liverpool legends on hand to watch that epic failure by their beloved club. I go into work tonight grinning from ear to ear.

Chelsea, oh how I love thee.

KTBFFH!!
