Souness has lost the plot. Look how angry he is about the liverpool result and now he's having a pop at city for beating a tough palace side 2-0 saying it wasn't a champions performance. I think he's going to cry as well

Wasn't so bad until this season. Normally, I'm not bothered by it. Most football fans like to hate Chelsea, and I can understand that, but match commentators and interviewers?

I can understand Phil Thompson and co being biased, but Tyler is meant to commentate on the game impartially, or at least try to. Seems like he isn't even trying to.

Also, I actually watched the match on an internet stream with Arlow white and Lee Dixon partly because I didn't want to hear Tyler after last week.

How good did Kalas play guys and gals? Was only able to keep updated for the game on here, it sounds like he did well but do we think Jose will take this performance from him and use him more in the future as a genuine 1 of 4 CB option?

 

Also lots of credit goes to Mark S for the last two games, really hope he can carry it on for Wednesday. 

 

If this was our B team then the A team have a very high standard to live up to :)

He was excellent, didn't put a foot wrong. Should have scored but i see that as a positive, at least that means he is dangerous in the air. I really hope we give him more game time next season because with more experience he can become a very good defender.

Great to hear, hopefully he is given the chance and our only other defensive signing (bar Zouma) is a new LB then.

 

Would make me very happy to see the likes of Kalas, Lukaku et al given a chance and be able to contribute to the cause on a semi consistent basis at least.

So happy with how the whole team played today. Schwarzer did exactly what was needed and makes me (I think him as well) more confident with our goalkeeper situation for Atletico.

 

Back four were all great. I don't see how you leave Ash out of the England line-up now. Azpi was solid as usual and fantastic debut for Kalas.

 

Salah and Schurrle worked hard the entire game, defended well when needed. Can't forget about Matic either!

 

Quite excited for Wednesday now!

looks good for the future - I've often worried what we'd do without JT but pairing Cahill and Kalas could be a very good development
