It is really bad this season. These mistakes can change where teams will finish in end whether it's points or goal difference, they can be very expensive mistakes. Time for video reviews.

Please no video reviews if it means stopping the game. Maybe if it's instantaneous like goal line technology it will be ok.

It was unbelievable. For me that was the worst decision i have seen all season, how can you get something so basic so wrong ? The only explanation is that he can't know the rules of the game, because there was no way that he thought Vertonghen was in the oppositions half. I think we really do have a problem with officials in this league, it's every week that they are getting easy decisions wrong.

If someone could do the research for all games in the league so far or perhaps just watch the Spurs game again, I would be willing to bet that refs get the majority of decisions right. It's just the wrong ones are easier to remember.

Thing is, that wasn't a marginal decision where a video replay would have helped, it was a simple and embarrassing unawareness of the rules.  It wasn't like it was, "is he ahead of the defender or not" , "did he handle it or not".  So no video replay wouldn't have been any use - they wouldn't have seen a need to replay it.

Yeah he was really animated there, but couldn't give a toss about the league leaders

But Utd were dreadful against a very poor side...his brother wouldn't have let his affiliation prevent him from calling a spade a spade

Phil Neville is so sh*t, he really doesn't like us, you can tell when he is analysing our games. When we play well it is always because the other team has played poor in his eyes. Gullit and Lineker praised us but Neville just couldn't force himself to say anything good about us. When United come on though he couldn't hold back the praise. He made sure that he mentioned Di Maria working hard to close down players. Someone should tell him that Willian, Hazard, Oscar, Matic, Fabregas and all of the other Chelsea players do what Di Maria did all of the time.

He's nothing like his brother, Gary Neville hates Liverpool but at least he is professional and can admit when they play well.

True, they do get the majority of the decisions right, but they should be getting them right. That shouldn't excuse the decisions they get wrong. The decisions they get wrong at times are just so basic, it shouldn't be happening.

Good job Ruud was there, we wouldn't have even got a mention otherwise.

Really looking forward to the City v Arsenal game today.

Honestly think Arsenal will get something.

I don't think we'll get any help from them. Stoke, Sunderland or Newcastle are worse opponents to City than Arsenal. Wenger is naive and their tactics are naive. Hope they pull a game of the season from the hat..

Gary Neville is probably the best pundit on TV, and has been since he started. Avoids getting personal, and gives well balanced views.

That's because he has far more time, and a larger team, to prepare and rehearse views, not because he's particularly better than Shearer, etc. Put him on MOTD and he'll look as bad as the rest.

Bollocks, Neville is quality pure and simple, he knows what he is saying, even his commentating in game besides the whiney voice he does offer a better insight than any other commentator.

It doesn't take preparation to not be a twat and get personal and show that you're really bias.

I would bet you any money on this planet earth that he would be the best pundit if he went on Match of the day.
