January 14, 201511 yr Chris Rock, Lee Evans and Russell Peters have nothing on Mesut Ozil, Ozil is quoted saying Arsenal are strong enough to overhaul both Chelsea and City to win title. Re. Managers and Sherwood, the rumour of 'Arry out and Sherwood in at QPR is doing the rounds. Sort of makes sense as QPR are not pulling away from the relegation positions and going down would destroy QPR financially. Sherwood may not be the right bloke but 'Arry isn't working. Sherwood might be the answer for qpha, but it would be worth the laughs to have him as gaffer of that disaster waiting to happen. Edited January 14, 201511 yr by robdog
January 14, 201511 yr Have Tottenham as the last team on my accu, would be just like them to f**k this up
January 15, 201511 yr Man Bony and Aguero upfront would be immense.... RIP defenses. Bony is technically sound striker with powerful physicality like battering ram.... City are already very close on us 2 points difference now with Bony on their side they'll be even better.
January 15, 201511 yr Man Bony and Aguero upfront would be immense.... RIP defenses. Bony is technically sound striker with powerful physicality like battering ram.... City are already very close on us 2 points difference now with Bony on their side they'll be even better. Going to be interesting to see how Bony and Aguero work together up front, one of them is going to have to adapt their game slightly because their both going to be wanting to attack the same areas in the penalty area. Two out and out strikers isn't always a good thing and so I don't think Bony necessarily improves the City team but he definitely gives them better depth.
January 15, 201511 yr Bony's £100,000k a week contract is to be padded out by a £20k bonus per game he plays. I'm sure that this is negotiated with FFP firmly in mind.
January 15, 201511 yr You do wonder how Dzeko and Jovetic feel about the Bony deal. Bony is a very good player but is he that much better than those two?
January 15, 201511 yr Jovetic can't stay fit for more than 2 weeks so I don't think he can complain. Dzeko has a good scoring record for City but he's only got two league goals to his name this season at the moment so on current form I don't think he can have too many complaints.
January 15, 201511 yr Bony's a great player. Strong as a bull, that can finish as well. I'm not sure how much truth there was when we were being linked with him last summer, but def a missed opportunity. Just as well we got Mario instead................
January 15, 201511 yr He won't be on the bench, he'll start with Aguero who will be floating around the box (wouldnt call him an out and out striker) while Bony is attracting all the attetion due to his size. Dzeko will be the one on the bench like he has been for most of his City career, Jovetic isn't really a striker, he's done well when filling in for Silva so it doesn't really affect him that much. I would imagine the first choice pairing will be Bony and Aguero, second choice is Dzeko and Jovetic which would work out very well as they are effectively the same, just Jovetic isn't as clinical as Aguero. Most of Bony's fee and wages is being funded by Negredo's sale (not sold yet but thats a mere formality), and they still have enough from previous sales to spend more should they need to. Probably won't though as that would be cutting it fine.
January 15, 201511 yr FWIW, Bony can very well play supporting striker. He's good on ball and create chances. Aguero will be their main man and Bony bit deep than him. He'll be definitely better than Dzeko for them this season.
January 15, 201511 yr Torres just scored for atletico vs real. Go on fernando! That's his first goal in nine derbies at the Bernabeu.
January 15, 201511 yr Haha gwan torres lad! taking out his frustration the last few years on real now.
