Negredo and his family wanted to go back to Spain, nothing to do with FFP.

Okay, I had no idea about what happened, all I saw was one post on the forum saying something about FFP and his wages so they had to offload him quick.

Just checked the article. Van Gaal never looks quite right. He looks, err, odd? I can't put my finger on why but he does.

I think it's cause he's a man in his 60s who clearly dyes his hair and doesn't have a wrinkle on his forehead because he's either had botox injections or else a but of nip and tuck!

There's trouble brewing at United it seems.

The harsh fact is that despite having spent £150,000,000 they're still no better off now than they were this time last season under David Moyes. I said all along that the problem was not David Moyes and that it was certain Prima-Donnas of the squad.

the rumours are a little more seedy than that .

I think its also down to the defenders being pretty diabolical.

His insistence on playing 3 at the back is great, so many goals could have been avoided with a traditional back 4.

Joe Hart was Garth Crooks choice of goalkeeper for team of the week.

No wonder the man didn't go into management or coaching.

Depressing that our TV license pays that man's salary though.

He's such a c**t

Makes it even funnier when you see he basically slagged Hart of in his review. The weirdo.

I won't lie, I hold a massive grudge following how he conducted himself when the Terry racism thing was going on.

I hated him as it was, the squidgy headed spud but that just tipped it for me.

Completely agree, although most of us probably always felt he's an imbelice anyway. He's probably only there because BBC needed a black guy for equal opportunities, because he talks sh*t and I don't see what he offers.

Congratulations to Southampton! A terrific performance by them that encapsulated how good their defensive set up is at the moment under Koeman. Credit to their club as they've been a club I've admired this season and it would be great if they made the top 4 this year. So far they deserve to be there.

Manchester City are definitely a dodgy club. They've splashed out so much money on players in the last few seasons you just wonder if the FFP restrictions will finally sink in for them. If things start to blow up don't be surprised to see the Abu Dhabi owners sell up sooner than expected.

van Gaal looks like a tortoise, speaks like a tortoise.

LOL you be the judge!

It's his nose as well. Van Gaal has the face of a Persian cat.

Spot on!

It was blatantly obvious that Manchester United needed an extensive rebuild. In reality Ferguson left the state in a terrible condition for his successor and naturally Moyes was used as a scapegoat for Manchester United's problems last season and Van Gaal has gone for a short-term fix by splashing out money on the likes of Di Maria, Herrara and Falcao (on loan) to save time rebuilding.

However it has backfired on them tremendously. They were an ordinary side despite a remarkable 10 game unbeaten run! Their luck had to run out sooner rather than later and of course they're really no better or any worse than they were last season. They've just stalled as a club.

Jezz, Well done for winning the speak like a United, Arsenal and Liverpool fan contest, Hasn't your club been accused of the same nonsense that you just spewed for the past 10 years? Come on man, The fact we're in this financial fair play mess is because the owners care and have put their money where their mouth is, Agreed not always used in the smartest possible ways but always with good intentions. I'd rather my owners constantly got my club into ffp trouble then bought strikers such as Pierre Nobody from Ligue 1 on a free transfer like Arsenal and Liverpool.

That's outrageous.

You left out the word 'fat' before 'c**t'...

Our captain would warn you that putting an adjective before the word 'c**t', can be quite dangerous....

United still have a lot of rebuilding to do IMO. I don't rate any of their Centre Halves except Rojo and they need some better quality out wide. I look at their team/squad and I just don't see any rationale at all in how Van Gaal has built it. It seems like they've just tried to buy anyone that is half decent, resulting in an imbalanced squad and team in which Rooney and Mata are often played out of position in midfield.

This wasn't a complete surprise to me but it was interesting to read that Man Utd have exactly the same number of points as they had at the same point last season under Moyes, and have scored one less goal.

I thought the abuse Moyes was getting last year was very unfair (and actually defended him against several people on here), so it's quite nice to hear about the lack of real progress being made at his former clubs by LVG and Martinez.

I'm sorry but what City are doing with these subsidiaries is new. It is stretching good practice to the limit and if they are allowed to persist with debt sharing it will give them an unfair advantage. The only way to compete would be to follow suit.

I'm not a big fan of FFP but there's something wrong when sport becomes more about clever accountants than playing the game.

Carrick, I see where you're coming from but then what Chelsea do with Vitesse and all of the players you have on loan could be questioned, Look at it from this way, If Roman decided to buy a new MLS or A League franchise, Would it really be that wrong or feel dodgy? The Etihad company already has major investment in Australia what with their being a stadium in Melbourne with naming rights of Etihad for Rugby and Cricket, They then invested in the new football franchise, Melbourne City. They have a Japanese franchise and own the New York City FC franchise, Is venturing out to different parts of the world and buying football clubs really that bad? I agree we have handled our accounts badly but you can't be buying the mainstream media's line of City own multiple football clubs in a way to skirt around FFP, Otherwise you would also think Mourinho is anti football, Poked a cancer patient and is a vile man, You can knock us for having a bad accountant and also for being a bunch of sly bar stewards regarding the Lampard deal but to accuse the owners of buying multiple football clubs in a way to dodge FFP or do something wrong is a little harsh.

Its dodgy accountants, of course it is. Means City dont register the large payments from their books. Its dirty as hell.

Which large payments would we not register? Every player that plays for City is under our books, You don't really believe that we could hide or cover up transfer payments under our name via another franchise' accounts? What would be the point of FFP if we could. Their job is to check each teams accounts, Last year we breached the regulations as did PSG, If this year UEFA doesn't fine us or find any faults where's the problem?

It's a joke isn't it.

Iniesta in there on reputation alone. Thomas Muller should have been one of the 1st names on there.
