January 12, 201511 yr That woman presenting the ballon d'or is hot af. I imagine her ass smells like citrus fruit. I find these awards pretentious though; every one brown nosing each other.

January 12, 201511 yr I imagine her ass smells like citrus fruit. That wasn't my 1st thought when I saw her, but each to their own I guess. It's Kate Abdo.
January 12, 201511 yr Carrick, I see where you're coming from but then what Chelsea do with Vitesse and all of the players you have on loan could be questioned, Look at it from this way, If Roman decided to buy a new MLS or A League franchise, Would it really be that wrong or feel dodgy? The Etihad company already has major investment in Australia what with their being a stadium in Melbourne with naming rights of Etihad for Rugby and Cricket, They then invested in the new football franchise, Melbourne City. They have a Japanese franchise and own the New York City FC franchise, Is venturing out to different parts of the world and buying football clubs really that bad? I agree we have handled our accounts badly but you can't be buying the mainstream media's line of City own multiple football clubs in a way to skirt around FFP, Otherwise you would also think Mourinho is anti football, Poked a cancer patient and is a vile man, You can knock us for having a bad accountant and also for being a bunch of sly bar stewards regarding the Lampard deal but to accuse the owners of buying multiple football clubs in a way to dodge FFP or do something wrong is a little harsh. But CFG and Chelsea's relationship with Vitesse are in no way comparable. I don't think you've bad accountants indeed I think they are very smart. The problem as I see it with CFG's multiple club ownership is that it allows City to purchase players through the US/Aussie club and then loan them to City which keeps their purchase off City's books. They can also negotiate FFP friendly salary terms for the stay in Manchester and pay bumper salaries when the player returns to the US/Australia to make it a sweet deal for the player. They are in fact creating an internal market. It's a perfect set up. Whoever thought it up is pretty smart.
January 12, 201511 yr How the World champions are deemed to have only three of the best XI is laughable. How Luiz made that team is anyone's guess, he barely played CB in his last 6 months at Chelsea due to being considered a liability and in his first game of the World Cup Finals with Silva there to hold his hand Brazil ship 7 Edited January 12, 201511 yr by ForeverCarefree
January 12, 201511 yr He must've been amazing in France from September onwards because Jose didn't pick him as a defender more than about 3 times before he went to the World Cup and had his pants pulled down by the Germans.

And this is why people need to actually understand and read FFP before getting all riled up. None of what you have said there is possible. There's a section called related parties in the FFP document which goes into detail about this. If I had the pdf file on this computer I would link it to you but I'm sure you can look it up yourself. FFP wasn't thought up by a bunch of idiots, if the average joe can think up something such as above then you can be pretty damn sure that there's already a rule in place to prevent it. After all, these are experts in their respective fields. While the principle of FFP is absurd and probably illegal in some aspects (Not that anyone would challenge UEFA on it, you either abide by their rules or lose out on Champions league which is a major thing for clubs and is the only reason why City "failed", if they stuck to their guns and challenged them they would have stood a pretty good chance of winning), the rules that govern it are largely okay.
January 12, 201511 yr I wonder when we will have a few of our players in that fifa world team xi. Costa and luis were part of a la liga winning, CL final team and costa being one of the top scorers in la liga and yet not a sniff of that team. Such bias from fifa.
January 12, 201511 yr My god. I would love to eat a roast dinner off of Kate Abdo's backside. Would it be a all out roast dinner or a half hearted one? Will you include pigs in blankets, stuffing balls?
January 12, 201511 yr It's a joke isn't it. Iniesta in there on reputation alone. Thomas Muller should have been one of the 1st names on there. What a load of sh*te that is. Thiago Silva, David Luiz and Iniesta don't deserve to be on that list at all, i would also argue that there has been much better players in the last year than Toni Kross. I guarantee that if David Luiz was still a Chelsea player he wouldn't be anywhere near this list. How are there no Atletico Madrid players on this list ? they won the league and got to the Champions League final. I can't help but feel that these FIFA/UEFA teams/players awards a becoming more and more of a joke. Edited January 12, 201511 yr by Scott Harris
January 12, 201511 yr Last year we breached the regulations as did PSG, If this year UEFA doesn't fine us or find any faults where's the problem? If they find nothing wrong well done, but if they find that there is a lot to explain away, ouch.
January 12, 201511 yr Henry is there. All we need now is redknapp, souness, carragher and neville to tell us about their new recruit.
January 12, 201511 yr Henry is there. All we need now is redknapp, souness, carragher and neville to tell us about their new recruit. Have Sky recruited Thierry Henry?! I wouldn't of noticed if you hadn't told me...
January 12, 201511 yr Would it be a all out roast dinner or a half hearted one? Will you include pigs in blankets, stuffing balls? Ease up on the 'stuffing balls' talk...Joey's already thinking on those lines...
January 12, 201511 yr Have Sky recruited Thierry Henry?! I wouldn't of noticed if you hadn't told me... To be fair, sky has been pretty low key about the whole affair. What they should have done is shown an advert every hour on sky sports to garner attention to it. Edited January 12, 201511 yr by enigma
January 12, 201511 yr Here's the voting list. Always an interesting read http://resources.fifa.com/mm/document/ballon-dor/playeroftheyear-men/02/50/58/45/fboaward_menplayer2014_neutral.pdf Kompany went for Courtois and Hazard 1 and 2. Lloris went Benzema at 2. Edited January 12, 201511 yr by Blue Daze

What would of helped me out too is putting an ad in the papers every day for the past two / three weeks. I would of noticed that.
January 12, 201511 yr The Gary Neville ad makes some sense. Seeing Redknapp on Henri is comical...as if Redknapp knows.
January 12, 201511 yr Mascherano? Hodgson went for mascherano? What the F. The England coach continues to make decisions that baffle the nation

I'll bow to better knowledge of FFP but there is nothing to stop related party transactions, they just have to appear to be carried out at a fair value and I'm sure smarter folk than me can massage the figures to get that result if they want.
January 12, 201511 yr Mascherano? Hodgson went for mascherano? What the F. If you only watched the World Cup then it might make a bit of sense because he was incredible. Just shows that Hodgson is remarkably out of touch with most of football. Quelle surprise.
