Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15

Rooney getting player of the year despite Drogba winning the golden boot and us winning the double was by far the most ridiculous awards decision i've ever seen.

The worst award I ever seen was Kyle Walker winning young player of the year when Sergio Aguero was in it.

Kyle Walker hasn't had a good season in his life, that season alone someone made a compilation video of costly mistakes he made that season, goes to show how full of sh*t that award is.

Rio makes a great statue. He really has become sh*t.

He was never that good though! He was an overrated defender who was surrounded by good players around him for a decade but now he's been found out to be a fraud.

With City paying the local council around £2million annually for the right to rebrand the stadium

So are you telling me the council takes 2 million a year so that city can make im assuming much more than 2 mil a year on naming rights, and no one at the council thought of cutting out the middle man and taking much more and selling the rights directly?

Regarding the Villa pitch invasion, if you go on the vintage section of this website, you'll see people referring to Chelsea pitch invasions against Hull in 1977, Liverpool in 1982, Leeds in 1984 and Wolves in 1994 as some of their happiest moments as Chelsea supporters. Yet here I'm reading condemnations of the Villa fans. They have had a terrible season and were euphoric after reaching Wembley. Good on them I say. What is football without the passion? Then people moan about the sanitisation of the modern game.

I get that they're dangerous situations.  That said - I do think they have a place in football (and sports in general).  If you've just stayed up or been promoted on the final day of the season, go ahead.  If you're currently playing in the Milton Keynes Tiddlywink Association League 2 and knock off a Premier League team in the FA Cup, go ahead.  If your team's captain is playing his final game after 15 years of leading your club, go ahead.

If you are a Premier League team, who is in the process of winning an FA Cup Quarter Final a few years removed since you were last there, do not charge onto the field during the game, do not charge onto the field after the final whistle, do not bite your captain, go not pass go, do not pickup your dole cheque for the week.

Kind of agree with this, Was at SB when we won the League for the first time in 50yrs, would have been fantastic to celebrate on the pitch, the club could have allowed it, got the players off the pitch for 15 mins or so, get the fans back off the pitch to let the celebrations continue with the players.

On Player of the Year., I don't think a player would necessarily deserve it just because there team won trophies, if Kane were to finish top scorer then I don't think it could be argued if he got it. I agree that he's sewn up Young Player of the Year already but that doesn't mean he shouldn't get Player of the Year. I think there are many contenders Hazard, Terry, Sanchez, etc but right now I think Kane is ahead of those. Of course that could change within the last 10-11 games.

It wouldn't be like when Rooney got in it 09/10 when Drogba out scored him and we won stuff because of that.

I'm loathe to criticise the BBC because they can't compete with Sky, etc, financially. However, how much of the FA Cup are they putting on TV? Liverpool v Blackburn should be on TV live, even if Man Utd v Arsenal is on tomorrow eve.

There has been a large amount of deals done with Abu Dhabi and Manchester council. After the super casino deal fell through there was an abundance of land that required urgent regeneration but with no money available to develop these areas Abu Dhabi has stepped in and provided the financial assistance. Couple this with Etihad airways basing themselves at Manchester Airport and its clear to see why the council took this course of action.

I would question the times of the times of the kick offs personally. Yesterday we saw a local 'derby' match taking place at 5.30 allowing the fans a full days drinking before the match begun. On Monday Gooners fans are forced to travel for a Monday evening kickoff when there is a clearly viable slot available at 1.30 today. As for the scousers match I suppose BT having shared the expense of broadcasting the game would expect to have one of the 'bigger' clubs involved in their coverage.

That's a very good point. Allowing Villa and WBA fans all day to drink was clearly not a good idea and there's nowt really on today that could get better viewing figures for the bbc than today's cup match.

Barcelona beat Rayo Vallecano 6-1, Great win lads but errm here were the odds pre match for this game, Barcelona 1/14, Draw 14/1 and Rayo 25/1, Nice win but errm if you converted those odds into an FA Cup tie, It would be the equivalent of Chelsea or City at home going up against Hartlepool, Well played lads, You just beat Hartlepool 6-1.

Yeah but could we do it on a warm sunny afternoon in Spain?

Joey, It's not going to happen, In a game where they have a 1 goal advantage they're not going to fist anyone up the rear, Plus you throw in the fact we're due a half competent performance in Europe and you have a 1-1 or 1-0 Barca win written all over it, They have the clasico three days later as well, In attempt to bend us over they could end up getting their own trousers pulled down if they were to get too sexual with us.

What even constitutes a good fisting? A fisting where you need to lube yourself up for? A three goal win or does a 2 goal win suffice? If Barca beat us by 3 clear goals in that game and I've got my assessment of the game wrong, I will come on here and type the following, 'JoeyN is the King and we just got royally fisted'.

Blackburn hanging on a bit, that said Liverpool haven't troubled the goalkeeper despite all their possession in and around the area.
