If you take away Costa, Hazard and Fabregas, their manager Mourinho, their so far unbeaten start to the season, their club culture of winning, the rest of their squad, their free scoring football and solid(ish) defence then Chelsea really isn't all that special.

If those 3 players were hypothetically out for a game or 2 *touch wood*, we still have replacements in our squad that are more than capable of beating any PL team.

Having Oscar, Schurrle, Willian and Salah as AMs is formidable and Ramires, Matic and Mikel behind them is still pretty solid.

I wouldn't say we are relying on Cozagas... (It'll catch on, you know it will!) They're just the reason we are cruising so far. We probably wouldn't be top without them but we'd still challenge for the title if we missed them for several games.

You look at City and they do struggle when Toure aint playing and we will no doubt struggle when Costa is out but that's what a squad is for...

City beefed theres up with some midfielders while we brought in Remy who is a proven scorer in the EPL.

Hamman tipping City on the basis of their squad strenght would be fair enough but the reason he gives is laughable.

Please not another Mazacar or whatever it was  :face_palm:.

As for Ched Evans, it's my opinion that he should be allowed to play again. If we release criminals back into society, we shouldn't do it with a ball and chain round their neck. There's no point.

He has paid his debt to society (he didn't choose how short the sentence was, a judge did) and should now be able to do what he chooses. If he couldn't, it wouldn't be justice, it would be vengeance.

Our penal system is there to punish and then reintegrate people back into society, with no exceptions. Just because he is in a high profile and well paid profession, that isn't enough to abandon our principles of justice. We respect the law that sentenced him so we should respect the law that will allow him to be a free man in whatever profession he chooses after his release.

Tch Tch.....these young ones today, don't know what hardship is, getting up at half 5.........................

Has Diego Costa been ruled out for tomorrows clash with Palace or am I being fed more daily mail bullsh*t? If he starts tomorrow they need to address where they get these stories from, They did this the week leading up to the Everton game and we know what happened there.

Not ruled out but doubtful, then again Jose had said that before every game this season

Sturridge out for another month with a calf strain picked up in training. Likely to miss the game against us in November and both ties against Real Madrid. Karma.

Good. So they've lost their CL place for next year and will fail to win it anyways.

I like to think of it as the football equilibrium balancing itself out. Liverpool's surprising success last season was a shock. Their poor start, bad signings and injury woes are all a sign that Liverpool are not meant to be regarded a top club. The Footballing world is at peace again...for now.

Even if Costa sits the Palace game out I'm confident in Remy to fill in.

Get a weird, WEIRD feeling that QPR are going to shock us all tomorrow and win at Anfield.

I would much rather see the shock of Tottenham beating City. Sooner or later Tottenham will stop getting battered by City, hopefully it happens today.

It'll be Roy Hodgson's fault, of course :)

That would be a shock. The game's on at Loftus Road on Sunday

Surely the thing about your best players is that you rely on them to perform well... That's what makes them your best players.

Could that logic not be applied to most clubs? Barca rely on Messi, Real rely on Ronaldo, Manchester United now find themselves relying on Di Maria, Arsenal rely on Ramsay (when fit).

Strange argument, especially when you're saying you're reliant on a third of your outfield players.

Hamaan might be right, maybe City will win the title but his reasoning is strange.

I'd say madrid rely on bale, ronaldo and modric. Barca rely on messi, xavi and iniesta.

City starting XI for today: Hart, Sagna, Demechelis, Kompany, Clichy, Milner, Lampard, Fernando, Navas, Silva, Aguero, Toure on the bench.

I'm a tad nervous for this game, Spurs are a real unknown quantity under Pochettino, Are they a bad side? Are they an inconsistent but good side? Whatever they are the fact that Pochettino is in charge means you have to give them respect which shows how poor Sherwood and AVB were.
