He (your mate) is not bright! Soz.

I'm disapointed go much of a cocky he was about it. I thought I was well reasoned and the fact is that team did lose matches, that was my point but he ws like no they were invincible yada yada.

Invincible means

'Too powerful to be defeated or overcome'

The Gooners met defeats that season. Therefore they were not invincible.

I thought you explained your case v clearly.

Here's how the convo ended with me and my so called mate:

Gooner: Well it's widely documented and acknowledged as Arsenals invincible season & I happen to share that view. Your entitled to your opinion and we've established that in the gospel according to Bob a season is measured by all competitions that season. We can go round the houses but I'll never be swayed and nor will you.

Me: Documented by the media and DVDs. If you think that makes a team invincible factually you are incorrect as a season is measured by the competitions you are in not just one. The title invincibles or unbeatables is a fabrication of the media. You lost games therefore you were not unbeatable or invincible.

Gooner: Where is your factual evidence to support your definition then?

Me: That fact that during that season your team lost in the Cups, Shield and CLs. That team lost matches. Therefore they were not unbeatable or invincible.

Gooner: That is the biggest load of bollocks I've ever heard. Ciao for now.

Me: How you can not understand that they weren't unbeatable is beyond me. You clearly have no answer to the fact that that very team lost on several occasions. Nice of you to keep it respectful aswell Mate.

Sounds as if they didn't lose those games, they just decided not to win or draw

He sounds like he is in denial mate.

To be fair we'll never see a side do what arsenal did that season. It was incredible.

I also think it will be a long time until somebody tops our 95 points. That's only 19 dropped points.

And Manchester United's treble is the best achievement. That will be really hard to achieve again.

Hes Egyptian?

Juventus did it 2 seasons ago.

At least you're entitled to your opinion.

It was a great feat, they are one of the best teams to ever win it but they weren't unbeatable or invincible as defeats to Man U (Shield and FA Cup), Middlesboro (League Cup), Inter Milan, Dynamo Kiev and Chelsea (Champions League) proved.

Thanks I was trying not to be a dick because I do hate that club with a passion but I didn't get out of order at all.

Your mate left the discussion and you conducted yourself well, imo.

I dislike the Gooners increasingly. The behaviour of some fans at Stoke train station was v poor - they are not entitled to success. They are acting spoiled. Wenger may have lost it a bit in the last few years but his record is worthy of respect, at least by Gooner supporters. Those fans who booed him have a complete and total lack of class.

Think a team conceding 15 goals will also be very hard to match, let alone beat

He left the group after leaving this comment

Gooner: Because the Premier League season consists of 38 games of which Arsenal lost none in the 2003–04 season. Nobody is claiming to have gone unbeaten in all competitions are they? You cannot argue that during the 2003-2004 premier league season Arsenal were invincible by very definition. If I were to say Arsenal were invincible in 2003–04 season then I'd be wrong but I'm not. In the premier league season of 03-04 Arsenal were truly invincible. Fact. If I were to expand the statement to all competitions Then id be wrong but for someone to go an entire season

I replied pretty much what I said before, a season is defined by all competitions not just one.

Very well said, to many football fans think they're clubs are entitled to success. That train station business was disgusting, I don't like Wenger but end of the day he's a human being.

Leeds fans are one of the worst, they honestly think the Football League is stopping Cellino from owning them because they want to keep them in the football league. Poor delusional bar stewards.

How poor has Fonte been for Southampton of late ? that isn't the first time in recent games he has messed up a pass backwards. He's easily performing the worst of Southampton's players of late.

Looks impressive.

The only reason I am envious of northern teams, is due to the lack of council intervention and land space to expand on.

One cleaner at the CFA remarked: “My son used to play in the streets here and found a syringe. I’ve lived in this area all my life and we’ve been let down by Governments. It’s taken a man from the desert to help us.”

City have been working hard to improve the local area, I believe the majority of the labour and materials were all local as well. Fair play to them.
