Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15

It's amazing that dropping 5 points in what should have been two winnable games suddenly sees the two Manchester teams in our wing mirrors, I remember being 8 points ahead of City a week ago and now the jammy bar stewards in Red will be chomping at the bit finding themselves in the same position.....two horse race, more like 3 or more if we keep dropping stupid points against lesser teams.  Saints need a comeback to do us a favour and to stop the rot or they will end up mid table with Spurs and Arsenal..

Looks like United are back.

Well, not fully as they look a little clueless, but they're nailed-on for top four this season I'd wager.

Southampton are being exposed as flat-track bullies, we'll crush them when we go to their place.

At the same time, an unstable defence (with lots of injuries) as well as the likes of Di Maria being injured, credit for actually getting the win.

Haven't really watched United much this season but saw tonight's game. How did they win that match. Gifted two goals of which Van P slightly mish*t both through the keepers legs. Van P btw was the only United player who looked anything like a Classy sort of player, good touch and good passing. The rest of their team, with the exception perhaps of Young, were dire. They are being gifted points at the moment and although I can see them scrape into top four I just can't see them challenging top spot.

Rojo at £16m, Fellini £27m, WTF.

Chelsea are imploding before our very eyes, City will struggle without Aguero and Van Gaal's boys are on a 5 game winning streak with Brenda's pub team coming up on Sunday which means basically a 6 game winning streak, United can win the title - The Media

This could turn out to be a 3 horses race ( as much as I hate it). I'm certain the Manchester teams will reinforce during January, if City is out of the CL, they will be 100% focused on the league. United is about in the same boat as liverpool last year, play once a week for the rest of the season.

Juventus did it 2 seasons ago.

Sorry I meant premier league. I really think in the remainder of my life, I won't see a team going unbeaten in the premier league.

I also would be surprised if 95 points off a possible 114 is broken.

I think somebody might win the treble again but that is the best achievement. You have to be a proper side to win on 3 fronts.

Difference is that Liverpool were fantastic last year, United are god awful and scraping through games. Won't last.

I hope you are right about that. They are off the radar and only has league and FA cup to play for, won't be surprised if LVG drops the cup chase. We have 3 cups to play for, bound to drop points along the way. We haven't been scrapping through games lately, so I wouldn't write them off like liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs.

The only reason utd won last night was they were gifted it through mistakes by Southampton. I don't actually mind utd doing well, but their sh*t form could at least last a bit longer for our enjoyment.

As much as form goes out the window in big clashes and derbies I really don't see Liverpool causing United any problems on Sunday. By form I mean winning matches, United will probably sneak another win although Liverpool are pretty sh*t anyway.

I absolutely despise Utd, would much rather have Arsenal and Spurs in the champions league than them alone.

But I'd rather have Utd in the champions league than the scousers.

Manchester United must be the luckiest side at the moment!

They had extremely lucky and undeserving victories against Southampton, Arsenal and Man City and they were lucky to draw against us. It's quite amazing they're in 3rd considering they're poorest Manchester United side I've seen in a long time.

You know all it takes us for us and City to lose a couple of games and United to keep in winning and they could find themselves in a similar situation to what Liverpool were last season.

Like Liverpool last season their defense isn't good enough, Smalling, Evans, Jones aren't top class defenders and Shaw is too inexperienced.

They got lucky last night but on most occasions the other team would come out of that game with at least a draw.

How united won last night is beyond anyone and that includes, Jesus Christ, Moses, Santa clause, the tooth fairy and the lochness monster. G-d doesn't care because he/she is a Chelsea fan.

Point is there is no way united can continue to play like that and keep winning. It actually makes me a bit mad because we where a lot lot better then that against Newcastle but got nothing.
