Alan Pardew has gone odds on to become the new Palace manager Lol Looks like those Geordies will need to bully someone else now, He probably can't wait to get back to London.

I think Alan Pardew is an ok manager, Newcastle fans have treated him unfairly, i wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to leave them. I don't know if going to Crystal Palace is a good idea though, he's not going to save them.

I don't think so.  There 's a very strong rumour why he's been kept at Newcastle despite all that's gone on.

We were finally on MOTD, about 5th in the running order. I think they might be trolling us now. They lead with City and the logical thing to do would be to follow with us, but instead they go for a meaningless Newcastle/Everton game (which was also on Sky) and then games such as West Ham/Arsenal, two teams that lie behind both Southampton and us. Strange.

My guess, if Southampton had been denied a stonewall pen our game would have been shown first.

Call me paranoid, but I'm right.

Who in the BBC/MOTD offices is at the root of this perceived agenda?

I wont bother talking about what happened to us earlier as I've just stopped going round and round in circles thinking about how the f**k we drew that game, I want to talk about Mythinez, Roberto Mythinez, He spunked £30 million on Lukaku and this is how he repays the board by having them languishing in 11th? If he wasn't such a sweet talker to the press, I'd expect him to be sacked soon, Another thing, How right was Mourinho regarding Lukaku ?  Having watched him for Belgium and this year, He's so frustrating, His team mates must get so annoyed with his constant moping about.

I think that is completly on the player to be honest. I think it's disgusting when players are on loan, get the move they're after then look like they're not bothered. Saying that im still not 100% on Martinez did a fantastic job last year had to spend the majority of his money to get basically the same team as last year. Is a very tough job at Everton they have high aspirations without any real justification for them. A lot of players haven't been the same as last year to be honest and add in their injuries and their European games and it was always gonna be tough. Ill reserve judgement until the end of the season.

Let's say Southampton had been denied a clear penalty and the game finished 1-1. Do you think the game would have been shown earlier? Yes or no. MOTD would have turned it into a big story. My guess.

You said after Boxing Day City were shown earlier because our game was on Sky. Well, Everton Newcastle was on Sky and MOTD showed that game two or three games before ours, which seems pretty inexplicable, although I'd love to hear your reason.

Edit: As for whom, I'd say the top brass of MOTD, obviously.

Sorry mate we were pony in the first half, Saints similar. I'd have struggled to get any extra action out of the half. Second half we had possession but no shots on target. the game carried little interest for the general football viewing public. We'd have had more to say if they ran it first and highlighted our failings instead.

Your original premise is flawed - it isn't logical to show the two biggest games back to back at the top of the show.

Yes, because we were denied a clear pen. If Southampton had been denied it would have carried a lot of interest. MOTD would have seen to that. I agree with Jose. Campaign.

Strange, because that's what they do every other week.

I asked you two questions. Answer them.

No, the running order is designed to carry viewership through from the top of the hour through to the end which is why Liverpool get pushed back quite often.

MOTD is a TV show. There's no agenda.

What's the magic word?

If it had been a bigger story then they may have changed the order and they probably went with the Everton game as a bit of filler before going with a bigger game later. They also try to give all the teams a chance to be at the start of the show so they can't be accused of favouritism...but trust me all teams have a tinfoil hat brigade who think they are unfairly treated because a producer doesn't like them.

Well, I guess there's no convincing you. I'm convinced Southampton are denied a clear pen and MOTD are all over it like a rash. Their coverage of us this season has led me to that conclusion, and I seldom complain of such things, even though it's fairly common knowledge we're disliked. I'm glad Jose spoke out the way he did, regarding the media. Anyway, yes you're right, I should have said please.

Not like me to forget my manners.

Blue Daze, I'm not sure about that anymore, Listening to Mourinho after the game, I do agree with him a bit that there does seem to be this agenda of making the title race more interesting and therefore attempts at destabilising Chelsea at any cost via schedule or diving accusation and winding up players, I remember when we cut the gap to 3 points, The media were fawning over us and so giddy that Chelsea no longer looked this invincible side, I had to remind myself that they were talking about Manchester City and not United, Never heard so much bum licking of us. Maybe we're all a bunch of paranoid nutters or there's a debate to be had that the F.A. and Sky don't want a 2004/05 type of league where a Mourinho side just win it at a canter, Obviously I'm knocking my own team a bit by saying this but to be fair when there was an 8 point gap I didn't see anything but a run away Chelsea league title win.

What do I personally think could be behind this new sudden agenda against Chelsea? LIONEL MESSI

Get Chelsea to implode, Hand City or United the league, Mourinho goes to Abramovich at end of season, 'Listen pal, Let's put these Manc's once and for all in there place domestically, Get me Messi or I'm off to Lisbon', Next August, Messi shows up at Cobham, Roberto's your uncle.

Jose understands that it's not about agendas but about narratives. He's trying to redefine it and he'll get fined for it but he's very astute about these things.

If Southampton were denied a clear penalty then it becomes a bigger story because an 'upset' would have been denied. The upset was more newsworthy, the sense of injustice in David being robbed by Goliath taps into tried and true storylines so it probably becomes more appealing to a larger audience.

I can be convinced that I'm wrong but you haven't actually provided any evidence and unfortunately I know how these things work and it's far less exciting than the agenda-driven conspiracy theories you're suggesting. MOTD is a tv show and ratings are all important.

So the reason we're fifth in the running order of MOTD is so we'll buy a player we can't afford?

The 'media' really isn't that specific when it comes to hatching evil plans.

So you deny there's any agenda then say it's all about ratings?

There's your agenda straightaway.

Good point. It's got f**k all to do with the specifics and all about getting eyes on the product.

Taking the term "Kiss and make up" to a whole new level

I would be exactly the type of person who would do this, if someone got in my face.
