Liverpool are signing Berahino apparently......for £23m. They love a daft transfer dont they...

Good to see you back Davey

Sure to be another mediocre signing.

Hopefully.

Shaquira going on loan from Bayern to Juventus too, leaves a Reus shaped hole in their squad.

Thank you gorgeous.

Call me suspicious, but Davey has returned just as Torres has finally left for good.

I think their may be a conspiracy afoot here!

It's your best Christmas ever, SP.

I agree with Davey (for a change) Jose was right to call out the media on this, the squirming on MOTD was obvious last night and it will put this to bed.

Cahills dive was fairly blatant, but I would say Ivan had every right to go down against the spammers.

Both the ref & assistant should be ashamed that they didn't award a penalty yesterday, all day & night that's a peno!

Re the Ivan claim. I was watching this in a pub so was a bit of a distance but on one of the replays, the one looking up the pitch, does it not show Ivan's left heel being clipped knocking his left foot into his right. I was pissed at the time not getting the penalty.

Was I just seeing things or was it the beer tinted glasses.

Forever Carefree, I'm not sure it was just a simple deflect criticism from his players type of rant because Chelsea weren't horrendous yesterday anyway, There wasn't much criticism to deflect,  It felt like a bit of pent up frustration in my opinion.

What were you drinking mate?

Sounds good.

Just beer, which is worrying. I'll put it down to topping up from Christmas Day which saw the consumption of various concoctions.

Our recent away form has been poor, yesterday was the third successive game we have dropped points.

Jose steps in and dictates the narrative and now once again the focus is on him and his conspiracy rantings and not the team.

He knows there is no agenda and that we are likely to get more decisions go in our favour than against but it's good to remove the focus away from the teams shortcomings and then try to get it fixed behind closed doors.

I'm sure we beat Stoke.

I can't keep up with all the Christmas fixtures!

Yes you're right we did but my point stands that we have looked far from assured on the road in recent weeks.

I wouldn't expect us to be ahead of the City game, Everton game or the Newcastle game. It was a 1-1 with not a great deal of chances. Not buying these conspiracy theories.

Me neither, and we were also live on Sky and have been 1st on more than one occasion on MOTD this season.

A lot of this (i.e. the Mourhino discussion) is generated because, at a basic level, the press and media need content. For example, Radio 5 probably dedicates (aside from match commentaries) at least 12 hours of airtime purely to the Premier League a week (i.e. Monday night club, MOTD Extra, 606, etc). They need content and discussions about what Mourhino says, diving, (two month's ago) Pellegrini (and coming very soon) Martinez leaving Everton are grist to the mill.

We can all summarise the situation in the PL in about five minutes so the media need to big up stories. It's sadly predictable and, for example, 606 is a shadow of itself as the stories are the same, week-in, week-out.

As an aside, what would the media talk about if reffing issues went away? They (the media) would be struggling for content.
