December 29, 201411 yr I hear Sky saying Jonjo Shelvey should get a ban for his arm to the face of Emre Can but i haven't heard them say anything about this from Sterling. https://twitter.com/FootyBantLAD/status/549681362903773184 How does he get away with this ? the linesman is right there looking at it. Sad that a player has to roll around on the floor before action is taken.
December 30, 201411 yr Sad that a player has to roll around on the floor before action is taken. Right. Then we complain about diving when the player hits the floor, "making a meal of it etc", I hate football sometimes
December 30, 201411 yr All footballers are divers and w**kers. And us fans are fickle, flaky, knee-jerk, armchair pundits who don't have a clue. It's a soap-opera, friends, nothing more. But we love it. And will continue to do so.

But we love it. And will continue to do so. You've just summed up one of the biggest loves of my life depressingly accurately.
December 30, 201411 yr Liverpool are on a high again. Let's hope they keep it up and go Into the cup against us with full confidence. It will be hilarious to bring them back down again with an almighty bang.

But we love it. And will continue to do so. I can't endorse this. Not because you are wrong but because I need to be able to believe that there's some honour and fair play left in the game. There's some sense of fairness at least in the UK, inasmuch as diving is generally deplored by fans.
December 30, 201411 yr Are Newcastle seriously giving the job to Coloccini? I rate Pardew fwiw. I think Newcastle fans will not place a value upon him until he's gone. Pulis is obviously available and is a decent chap and manager.
December 30, 201411 yr Seeing as they both named Dave as the best defender in the league I think it's safe to say he will get in. Other than that I would say Terry and Matic. De Gea in goal. Coleman and Kompany to complete the defense. Silva, Sigudsson, Sanchez in attacking midfield. Aguero up front. Not sure who they'll go with in midfield with Matic, I'd say Fabregas but maybe that's my blue tinted specs speaking. I would have Clyne and Bertrand over Ivan and Dave personally, they have been the best fullbacks in the league. Sigurdsson or Fabregas (can't decide) in midfield over Schneiderlin as well but apart from that it's pretty much picks itself.
December 30, 201411 yr If Newcastle make Collocini manager it will show how idiotic and cheap Ashley really is. If its just BS rumours and they want Pulis I think they'll have to make some changes. I can't see him been happy with the way they do business as a selling club etc.

There's some sense of fairness at least in the UK, inasmuch as diving is generally deplored by fans. I would love to believe there is honour too. But with each passing game I get more and more disgusted. Diving and wrestling at corners are my biggest bug-bears yet the sport is stuck in the past and refuses to embrace video replays. Goal line technology is a step in the right direction but it doesn't help that FIFA are dodgy as hell and possibly corrupt. Rant over! </rant>
December 30, 201411 yr Goal line technology solved one of the rarest problems in the game. I can't remember how long ago it was actually needed to judge a goal... An expensive step to make it at least look like things are going in the right direction for now. Edited December 30, 201411 yr by Stim

December 30, 201411 yr Cesc Fabregas has 13 assists, Schneiderlin 0 assists, Maybe Neville got told by his producers to put a player from a different team what with there being a lot of Chelsea players not to upset the Liverpool/Arsenal and United fans, Only explainable reason for making such a ridiculous selection. December 30, 201411 yr I'm hearing Pulis to West Brom, That move is the relegation managers equivalent of dumping a fat ginger girl with braces to dating a blonde super model.
December 30, 201411 yr Pulis to West Brom is a surprise if it happens simply because I think he'd have the same problems or similar problems to what he had with the Palace board.

I agree. Fabregas, Matic, Hazard and Aguero have been the best players in the league so far this season, i don't think anybody would leave any of those 4 out of their side willingly.
December 30, 201411 yr I rate Pardew fwiw. I think Newcastle fans will not place a value upon him until he's gone. Pulis is obviously available and is a decent chap and manager. Really? Would you have him at Spurs then? The only way Newcastle will miss him is if they appoint somebody stupid to replace him, which seems inevitable seeing as this is Mike Ashley we are talking about here. He'll probably rehire Kinnear or something. Any competent manager can achieve what Pardew has over the past 5 years, a good manager can achieve even more.
December 30, 201411 yr Pulis would win trophies if he had a bit of money. Excellent manager. I think he needs to over achieve with a smaller team kind of like Hodgson did with Fulham in order to get a bigger job.
December 30, 201411 yr Barca's transfer ban is upheld, they can't make any signings for the whole of 2016. Good job they were allowed to spend the best part of £200m this summer whilst they appealed. Stinks.
December 30, 201411 yr Author I'm still totally puzzled by Pardew going to Palace, things aren't that bad at Newcastle, are they?
