And unsurprisingly in highlights valencia's dive wasn't shown, Ivan's was and the commentator made a big song and dance about it...I didn't like what Ivan did either but if the media are going to go on a diving campaign then highlight everyone, don't pick and choose

We had three players booked for diving in the last match, two of which were appalling and then we dived in the next match. Can't blame them for showing something when a narrative for it already exists.

As for the running order, we were live on Sky whereas City weren't. Makes sense to lead with something the majority of people haven't seen.

Would not be at all surprised if they show Ivanovic's dive and leave out Valencia's dive.

And i was right............but let's be honest, any of us on here could have predicted MOTD would show Ivanovic's dive but not Valencia's. If this isn't proof that the media are bias and don't like us then i don't know what is.

I haven't seen anything from city in the last couple games to suggest they can overtake us at all. Their last game lampard scored a scrappy goal for them to win 1-0 and then today they needed mistakes from west brom to gift them a result, maybe bar the silva goal.

Valencia and Noble dived today too. Why is it only Chelsea dives that get scrutinised? It's a valid point to raise.

Because it's an existing narrative and MOTD highlights packages aren't that long.

If a player of our's dives to win a penalty in the next match then they'll show that as well.

More like an existing agenda. I'm always curious to see what MOTD don't show as well as what they do. I don't buy the lack of time argument. They had Ivanovic in real time, plus several replays and then the three stooges analysing it, yet they couldn't spare a few seconds to have a look at West Ham's diving.

No, an existing narrative. It was the biggest story in the Hull game so an incident as blatant as that was going to get highlighted and it's a legitimate point for them to make.

But out of interest who in the MOTD/BBC office is the ringleader for this agenda?

I have another gripe with motd tonight. Their FA cup trailer featured Arsenal (fair enough current holders); Man Utd who haven't won it in a decade and Liverpool who also haven't won it for 9 years. But no Chelsea despite the fact we are the most successful club over the last10 years with our 4 wins.

Yes, the narrative is Chelsea dive. So let's scrutinise their dives, even to the point of exaggerating non-dives like Costa's the other week, but ignore whatever the other team does. What would you call it when teams are treated differently for doing the same thing? Sounds like an agenda to me.

I think this is firmly in tin-hat territory, the kind of thing most of us laugh at City fans for indulging in.

Fact is two of our players dived last week and another was booked for it (incorrectly according to most observers), so if it happened today it was going to be highlighted and Ivanovic's was blatant.

In the Liverpool match the narrative focused on Mignolet which is why they highlighted the sub and his subsequent fumbles.

Fact is players have been diving since the beginning of time, so I'm not sure why it requires particular attention when Chelsea players do it. Chelsea player dived today. Multiple replays, outrage from the commentator, analysis from the pundits. Two West Ham players dived today and they weren't even shown. You can call it a narrative and talk about tin foil hats, it's a legitimate point to raise, and I wonder why it is.

Diving accusations are the biggest fallacy amongst fan bases. All teams have players who dive but fans like to single out certain situations and label team/players as "divers" or "cheats" which makes no sense at all when you think about it. Of course they're players that are frequent divers but most are not but get punished as such.

Great win but City have made my weekend slightly sour.

Everything I feared about them is actually coming to light. Ever since pellergrini said they cannot drop any more points after they played qpr, they have now gone and won every match.

They've suffered so many injuries and are still right behind us ffs.

Yep I noticed that too, I really don't think its paranoia either this sort of thing happena too often for it to be a coincidence.

Warnock is such a sh*t manager. He's one of these group of managers who wait until someone has got a team promoted and then got sacked and swoop in for another premiership job, even though they are awful managers. It's people like him, Steve Bruce, Mick McCarthy, etc... they rarely get anyone promoted themselves, they just sit in the Championship for a year or so then take the job of someone who did well to get their team promoted and then struggled. Vultures the lot of them.
