It surprises me why Barcelona got rid of yaya. He is the kind of player they could use right now, but for some reason he didn't blossom as much as he has in the EPL.

I think it could well just be the more physical nature (especially in midfield) of the English game, plus at City he's no longer shackled with the defensive responsibilities of anchoring the midfield for Xavi and Iniesta.

Barca didn't use him right, they basically wanted him to play like Busquetts does now.

One thing for sure is that United need better wingers than Valencia and Young so I think they will definitely buy, no amount is really out of the question for them really it just depends if Real want to sell. I don't know much about the situation but isn't Bale doing pretty well and settled? It just seems like fans aren't taking to him.

Those are all English speaking RM fans though, not even Spanish, which tells you all you need to know about them.

The talk is that it may be Isco or bale to leave, or that if Bale does go to Utd, Real may exchange with De Gea + cash. I don't know, but seems like Reus is pretty much agreed to a move to Real next summer for 20 million. Great piece of business by madrid again, but surprised German teams let their most influential players go for such low prices. Kroos and Reus for less than 50 million, Bloody hell.

The fans on this forum aren't keen.

It's amazing how ungrateful their fans are. I think they expect every single big money signing to score Ronaldo number of goals.

They're unbelievable. They should be happy that they have someone as good as Bale in their team. Real Madrid fans are the most spoilt and ungrateful fans of the lot, i don't think they are ever satisfied. I remember in his first few games at Real Madrid he was getting booed.

The way they talk you would think that Bale has been a poor signing. 22 goals in 44 appearances in his first season (an average of a 1 goal every other game) and 11 in 22 so far this season (1 goal every other game)..........what the f**k are they complaining about ? Do they expect their players to score 40 a season or something ?

They don't deserve to have the players they have playing for their team. Bale would probably get into every team in the world but according to them he isn't good enough for Real Madrid. They need to get over themselves.

Arsène Wenger: Calum Chambers is too young to play so often for Arsenal

“For a 19-year-old player, he has played too many games,” Wenger said. “They all hit the wall after 15, 17 games. You have to give them a breather, refresh and get them back again. At the moment, to have that responsibility in every single game is a lot on a player of that age.”

This is too hilarious. So who decided to keep Chambers as backup right back and centre back Arsene?

I know Bale is British and James Rodriguez is Latin which makes him more marketable for Madrid but Bale is head and shoulders above Rodriguez in terms of technique and ability, I honestly don't get the fuss with him, Maybe his shirt sales in Columbia are off the charts. If Bale goes to United and they make some defensive signings I'd be very worried about them next year, and if they finish 3rd and on a good run this year, It wouldn't surprise me if the bookies had them as small favourites for the title next year. You have to give it to them unlike Liverpool and Arsenal they are hell bent on staying at the top and not willing to accepting mediocrity, Fair play.

Sorry Kinkladze but this is not true at all. If anything its the opposite actually. Madrid have played better this season when Rodriguez or Isco play instead of Bale.

I'd take Bale in a heartbeat, I think he's phenomenal when he's in full flow.

If he was to become available I'd love to think that we would be interested.

I agree and I think the premier league suits him a lot more. But do you think we can afford his fee (plus wages of around 300k I think)?

I'm not sure we have a lot of saleable assets left  to balance his cost either, unless we decide to offload a couple from Oscar, Schurrle, Willian.

I'd like to see us sign Bale, but would he fit in? I mean his natural position is left wing which would put him in direct competition with Eden and we already have Oscar and Fabregas who can play in the number 10 role (for me both Oscar/Fab are 'untouchable').

Although Eden can also play as a number 10, I think he's more effective when he drifts in from the left during the match (as opposed to being told to play number 10 from the start).

If we're looking to improve the squad i'd like to see us sign someone whose natural position is on the right side of a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 (Schurrle/Reus natural position is left wing, and with the exception of Robben there seems to be a lack of world class quality in this position at the mo?

We probably could afford him but no one else and one of Willian or Schurrle would have to go.

I was more talking from a fantasy football mindset though.

Despite the youtube clips that would seem to contradict my view I'm not sure about Draxler as a wide midfielder in the Premier League... but have always rated him as an advanced centre mid, i.e. I could see him doing well in a 4-3-3 alongside Matic/Fab. If I had the choice of Barkley/Draxler i'd go with Draxler.

Rio Ferdinand believes QPR will stay up due to the strength and resilience of the squad.

Cause you're not playing, you camel faced f**k.
