Of course in order to sign one more player, we'd need to offload two: eg. Torres, mikel, cech (more likely)

However if we are able to sign one more player, who should we be targeting. (Realistically)

Centre back: Benatia, Miranda

Midfielder: Pogba, Khedira

Striker: Cavani, Remy, Aubameyang, Icardi, Balotelli

Personally, I would be looking at a striker because Pogba seems almost impossible to get. First choice would be cavani but even a decent backup such as aubameyang or remy would do.

I wouldn't say no to that tbh. It is either 35 million for Sturridge or 40+ for Cavani. One is 27 and never played in the premier league, meanwhile the other is familiar with the EPL.

I agree we need one more striker, otherwise I can't see us overhauling City again this season, you can only play so many of our 20 odd midfielders.

 

So, it's either convert Schurrle to a number 9 or go for Martinez or Finnbogason.

 

Of course the most sensible option would have been to keep Lukaku, but we don't seem to do sensible very often.

 

 

 

Edit: Finnbogason has already gone to Real Sociedad! There's a real lack of promising and available strike talent out there.

I think the problem is not that we don't have enough strikers, but that one of our three strikers is Torres.

Would it be so bad if our strike force were Costa, Cavani and Drogba? Or Costa, Bony and Drogba?
