FA Youth Cup 2014-15

Apart from a ten minute spell in the 2nd half, uber comfortable throughout. As The Brit said, always looked like our kids had a few more gears they could kick up if needed.

More impressive stuff from our newly crowned European Champions.

Solanke looks class. His movement throughout, his composure when he got the chance. He looks a mean, lean scoring machine.

Colkett looks a player, touch of the Butch Wilkins, the way he sprays the ball about. He needs to be tougher in the tackle though.

The keeper looks dodge.

Great performance and result - let's hope for a repeat in the second leg. Be great to retain the trophy which hasn't happened for a while.

Reminded me a bit of last years final against Fulham. Last year, I thought Fulham had the one outstanding player in Patrick Roberts and ditto this year - the black lad playing up front who caused us loads of problems (Buckley?)

But we were the much better footballing side with no-one really standing out but quality and confidence throughout. Other than for a short spell in the second half we looked comfortable and it was men against boys. Must't get complacent and there is still a job to do at The Bridge next week but we have certainly made it a lot easier for ourselves than we did last year and in this years semi.

Wasn't impressed with Colkett, at fault for the goal, and should have handed a city a second in the second half.

I haven't seen much of the youth team this season, but I can't see Colkett making it here.

We're on the cusp of a new era.

Charly Musonda and Tammy Abraham were the best two players on the park imo.

The way Solanke finished it all off was more proof that he is going to be the real deal.

We didn't blind people with blistering football as such, but we did absolutely dominate citeh in their own stadium, it was obvious to see.

This team could compete in the EPL and do pretty well, they're a tough bunch of youngsters.

Iv'e never been this excited about our youngsters in 35 years of support.

Quickly this club is becoming a dominant force across all levels senior and youth teams brilliant to see, exciting times ahead! UTC.

Ok, the young lions have a chance to win another trophy today. Although it's 3-1 to us after the first leg, it's by no means over. Hopefully there will be plenty of Blues to cheer them on. Maybe some of the first team players as well.

I hope so. I think all the first team squad and Jose should be showing their support tonight by attending.

Tie is far from over and an early City goal could make it nervy but hopefully they will finish the job off tonight and retain the trophy.

COME ON THE CHELS!!

Am going to the game tonight. Yes, hopefully a good crowd and the first team and management will be there to support them. Agree, the tie is far from over but hopefully an early goal from us will settle the nerves and there will be another trophy in the cabinet.
