Transfers Summer 2015

True. But that's why it would be crazy.

Jose wanted to send him on loan and KDB didn't want to be loaned so he sold him to Wolfsburg. Who knowsaybe he will bring him back but his price will be much greater.

I think he would do pretty well playing with hazard, costa, and Fabregas.

I don't think we should to be honest. I have said that it was a mistake to sell him, but its done now and there is no point in holding regrets. He didn't have the patience to fight for a place last time and even if we do buy him back, he is not going to be an automatic first choice.

Matic was a bit different in that regard, and is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world now. There is hardly a shortage of quality attacking midfielders though (we have one in Fabregas who is better than De Bruyne) that we could go for. So no, I don't think we should even consider buying him back unless the circumstances become highly favourable which I doubt they will.

To get some perspective on KDB's achievements, Franco Di Santo has 12 goals in the Bundesliga this season so far. That makes him the 5th top scorer in Germany for someone who wasn't good enough to start for Wigan last year.

And Sakho has 10 in the premiership this year whilst he was playing in the French 2nd Division last year.

Im surprised you guys aren't in for the "world class" Charlie Austin who has 15 goals in the BPL. And im sure Giroud with his 13 BPL goals is quite the stud[emoji58]

For your sake I hope your scouts aren't as ignorant as your post makes you out to be.[emoji38]

Harry Kane, over 3 years on loans at various clubs, Orient, Milwall, Norwich, Leciester.

Dropped into the first team and you know the rest.

Metz was his first club and thanks to him they won the Ligue 2 title while scoring 20 goals, well more than a goal a game, and winning the Ligue 2 player of the year. How is that at all a relevant comparison when he'd never attempted to play a higher level before and was quite clearly better than everyone else in his current standard?

By contrast Franco Di Santo is the worst footballer I have seen play for Chelsea since Roman took over and he was just as bad if not worse at Wigan where he was given ample opportunity in their first team and it was not until he stepped down to the Bundesliga that he was able to hit a barn door.

I think there was a period during his first season at Wigan (after he had spent a year at Blackburn) that he had the worst goals per minute ratio of any striker in the history of the Premier League. Suddenly he kicked into gear during his second season at Wigan and now seems to have found his goalscoring touch (the same number as Müller and Aubameyang, only one less than Lewandowski, and that is without the creative players behind him that Bayern and Dortmund have). I don't think it's a matter of the Bundesliga being hugely worse than the Premier League, it is just that some players are a bizarrely good fit in particular leagues or within particular teams/systems - look at the difference between Salah at Chelsea and Salah at Fiorentina.

Any player heavily reliant on pace is going to struggle playing for us if they don't have other the other skills to go with it when virtually every team we play sits with 10 defenders on the edge of the box for the majority of the game.

Pizarro also had a great scoring record in the Bundesliga if I remember correctly, it is strange.

Messi would be the absolute dream signing for us and perfect piece to that RW puzzle. I know it's a highly unlikely, but if we pulled that transfer off it would be amazing. Messi on the right and hazard on the left; we would cruise this league in the seasons to come. I rate suarez highly and i think we need a forward exactly like him in the team. don't get me wrong, i like costa and he's done great so far, but i just think suarez is superior in technical ability to diego.

Hell no so overrated and constantly injured

Overrated?

http://www.whoscored.com/Players/13796/History/Theo-Walcott

According to this in 168 appearances in the League and Champions League he has 47 goals and 34 assists.

That means he's contributed to 81 goals directly which is just shy of one every 2 games.

That's quite impressive if you ask me.

Walcott's about rated right in my opinion, he'll never be world class but he can be good on his day and his stats are actually decent. I actually think his injury last year was a massive blow to Arsenal's title challenge as he was in superb form at the time.

Should start a thread for him if there isn't one because I imagine this will be a saga come summer.

Remember the requisite youtube highlight reel.

Only issue is, we have bamford. I really like Bamford and want him promoted to the first team squad next season, but we can't let this guy go to Arsenal or Utd. I really think he link up brilliantly with hazard. From what i have read about him, he can comfortably play anywhere across the front 3 too, although central position and RW are his preferred positions being left footed.

I have to say, I have only watched Dybala on youtube and you can't form an opinion based on those only, but he looks like a great talent. Reminds me of Aguero, but probably not as strong. Great technical ability.

That video reminds me of Lamela at Roma actually. Same nationality, same age and similar stats too. Looks like he'll also cost something around the same mark. Obviously, it doesn't mean he'll go the same way if he moved to England but its something that makes me a little skeptical. Well, I hope he goes the same way if he ends up at Arsenal.

Yeah but then it could go the other way and he'd be an Aguero type who rips up the league.

He'd be an interesting option other than Costa but we'd probably still need a physical pressence like Drogba as Costa aint too aggressive with the ball in the air.

Would no doubt mean Remy would be off.

That is true although Aguero always looked like he had the physique to handle this league and he was putting up similar or better numbers in a stronger league at the same age.

If he's a striker then I don't think it makes sense to spend that sort of money on a backup to Costa when we already have Remy and Bamford. I realise he can play right wing as well, but does he have the defensive work rate that Jose would demand?
