The worry is the ref will realise he bodged the red card and will start giving them more leeway to even things up, that Costa penalty being a good example.

Don't agree with that, it was a clear dive from Verratti. Would have been a shocking decision if that was given.

Sky talking sh*t again. I agree it probably wasn't a sending off (based only after a couple of viewings), but watching it first time I was 100% sure it must be a red.

 

Penalty not given - I thinkg the ref was trying to compensate for the red, but I think we're happier playing against 10 men who need a goal than be up 1-0 against 11 who do.

Ibra never scores against us or Jose, Cavani has scored against us on multiple occasions, if anything i'm a bit more concerned now.

As mentioned, the referee had already made up his mind. Not a red but a pen. What would you rather have? 

The red was undersevred in my opinion, or Oscar should have gone with Ibrahimovi?, because he also went in rashly. But the Verrartti dive was no pen, there's barely any contact.

Teams have been surrounding refs for years at home and in europe trying to get our players sent off. I don't like seeing us do it but I am completely fed up with this nonsense that we do it more than anyone. PSG have done it more than us in this game alone!

Do the refs like Verratti? They seem like they really don't want to book him. I think he's an absolute c*nt but I can't fault his desire for the team. Oscar has been ok this first half made some good interceptions/tackles. Hazard os always dangerous. That run by Costa was something Hazard would have been proud of shame that a blatant foul by Cavani wasn't picked up by the referee. If the counter argument is he didn't see it then I'm sorry he should be better positioned to see where Costa is running towards and who is near him.

Erm the red card seemed quite harsh imo it looks like Oscar is studs up but does win the ball and Zlatan is just slightly late. Imo a 50/50 challenge.

Two things I think we can be reasonably sure of:  

1.  The match will not end 0-0.

2.  The match will not end 11 v 10.
