Me too. It's a bit odd as we may have a chance ourselves. Leicester winning the league would be a stunning event, particularly after last season. I hope it can happen.

I think your lot have a very good chance Spud, Tottenham have improved greatly this season.

You had a slow start but you could see that Tottenham had something new to their game. Pochettino has made you a lot more solid at the back and a really good going forward too. You currently have the best goal difference in the league. You are joint second top goalscorers and have the best defense in the league. After 24 games last season you scored 37 goals and conceded 31. This season you have 44 goals and only conceded 19. You're the most inform team too. You could be peaking at the right time.

Didn't know there were spurs fans on here.

But they've done all that whilst actually making a net profit this season. Funnily enough it's Leicester who have spent a considerable amount this year.

If Spurs actually win the league having made a profit, played entertaining, attacking football and with a young core of English players then that would be one of the greatest achievements in English football of the last 30 years.

Balls.

There's a beautiful irony in that despite the Premier League having and spending more money than ever two teams that have by comparison spent very little and avoided "marquee" signings find themselves competing for the title.

Just goes to show, money can't buy you everything.

That's a very good analysis. A title is possible in theory but we need Leicester and City to slip up. Leicester are defying all predictions on that front and City players are now going to be playing for the title, of course, but also to impress Guardiola in advance of his first season. They should be giving 100% now but they'll definitely buck up their ideas for Pep.

Still, we are in a good place and, being honest, finishing third would be very good.

You'll finish 4th, and we'll win the CL again

Can you imagine how amazing it would be if Arsenal finished 4th and we won the champions league? That really would be a dream come true!!!

Sounds good to me. Progress and all that. Good luck in the CL by the way.

oh my there will be some butt-hurt goonies & most of the media tbh - here in the US the media hates English footie & adores La Liga - wants to put Die Bundesliga on a higher totem pole as well

That seems to be a common view Robdog; we are interesting but not necessarily cool. Linking to Zola's posts about China, Italian football is the big thing there too. English football is a niche interest. I'd hate to have only Italian football to watch...

Jorge Mendes is moving his clients to where the new money is. Won't be surprised if Falcao joins them before their window closes.

José to manage in China next?

Barca beating Valencia 7-0, Game's up for Neville imo.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but he really shouldn't have taken this job. He doesn't know the league, he doesn't speak the language and it wasn't exactly low expectations. He could have started with a smaller PL club, now best case he'll probably have to start in the Championship if he still wants to build a managerial career.

Does this impact on his (formerly) very good career as a pundit? His authority as a pundit will be dented because he'll be commenting on mistakes and we'll be thinking "well, look at Valencia..."

To be honest, judging by his punditry, Neville seems pretty on the ball in terms of tactics.

Neville is inexperienced, in a very volatile dressing room, and (presumably) also having to deal with the language barrier. Obviously there is more to management than pure tactical knowledge and meticulous planning; if there wasn't then Benitez would win every trophy in sight!

If he'll be able to handle it with good humour then he has a chance.

Unless he comes up against AVB.

That makes sense. It is (in hindsight) too big a job with too little experience of management. There has, usually, to be a learning curve.

Love the rumour on the radio this morning that Man Utd might plan a £144m bid for Neymar.

Be brilliant if they signed Neymar and then Mourinho goes there in the summmer. Their £144M record signing promptly gets dropped for not tracking back!!!

Wenger had a go at the Ref, Lee Mason after the game and said "Its always the same with you"

Is anyone sure this wasn't actually said to his own players about the title race?!

Leicester remind me of that exciting Leeds side all those years ago.

It seemed a fairy-tale story that a club rising from the lower leagues coming all the way to the top and challenging for the title and ending up with CL football.

Hopefully they don't follow what happened next with Leeds though.

To be fair mate in our current predicament we need to careful that we don't slip down the same road...

Shows you pundits *cough* "BT sports lot" *cough* very rarely make good coaches even though they seem to THINK they have an expansive knowledge of the game.
