Someday, some manager will turn Newcastle United into a real powerhouse. Fantastic opportunity up there ... if I was a football manager and Chelsea wasn't an option, that would be the job I'd like to take on ...

I'm genuinely worried but at the same time looking forward to next season.

Arsenal- are spending and looking like they are finally pulling their fingers out.

Leicester- well if they can keep everyone and strengthen their going to be up their as well.

City- potentially scary as to what pep could do...but this is the 1st time he's going to a sh*t team.

Utd- I'm not worried about Jose tbh. Utd are going to be off the pace for a few years.

Liverpool- I'll be shocked if pool ain't up their as klopp has done well for not signing nobody.

Then there's us....

conte is busy at euros so we are going to be waiting a while till we can see his vision and who he wants which could see us miss out on some key signings.

Then the million dollar question will the players show up this season?

Local team have done well. They brought out this monstrosity of a football top and listened to the fans who wanted to keep hoops. So they have designed 4 alternatives and leaving the decision upto the fans in the local paper.

You're not worried about Jose at United? Have you not watched ssn at all this week? The title is their's, There's no point anyone else turning up for next season what with the hook nose also set join them.

 

It's funny before Ibrahimovic was linked with United, Neymar, Suarez, Lewandowski and Aguero were all better players than him, Now he's linked to that lot and he's the third best player in the world, Typical.

FA Cup quarter final replays scrapped, a sensible decision for sure. But don't scrap anymore replays.

I did suggest this ages ago but not saying I had any bearing on their decision

For me next logical move would be to remove the two legged semis of the League Cup into one match held somewhere neutral (not freaking Wembley).

How would you determine which venue would host the one off semi final game if it isn't at Wembley? We'd have the same problem La Liga faces for the Copa Del Rey final, If the awarding of semi final venue was to be on size of stadium and say Spurs had to play Chelsea at the Emirates, Wouldn't that be difficult? or say Middlesbrough v Sunderland at St James' Park etc etc. The other idea would be to draw the 4 teams out of a bag for the Semi Finals and whichever one's come out first would get a home game but even that would provide an issue.

They never had a problem with the FA Cup when they'd use ground like Villa Park, Old Trafford, Highbury etc. You find a ground closest to both teams and play it there.

Heck if they want one ground then do it at Cardiff the whole point of a cup run is to get to Wembely for the final not the round before. If it ever did happen and I don't think it will given the semis are mid week games then obviously they would probably use Wembley but I hate anything bar the final been there personally.

But say they did do it as an independent draw and a home team got the semi. For me that's more than fair after all it's not a problem in the previous rounds is it? So why should it be an issue for the final.

This season I think unt won't get top 4, maybe the following season and then I'd say title contenders year 3.

The thing with the media is they look at Jose and pep stats and think they are amazing managers (which they are) but they ain't known for building a team.

Every time Jose came to us we had a team in place.

Same with pep he's went from barca to bayern were the teams already built.

I don't see the point to be honest. How are these changes going to help with fixture congestion ? It's not like F.A cup replay's and League Cup games get in the way of anything, only a handful of teams play in them.

Remember when most people couldn't believe deal West ham got for their new stadium....

Barry Hearn, the former chairman of Leyton Orient who fought West Ham's proposals at the time, was hugely critical of the terms of the deal last month, telling the BBC: "It's a hugely beneficial deal to West Ham and good luck to them.

"They've negotiated a good deal. I can't say the same for the LLDC who should go back to negotiation school. My dog could have negotiated a better deal for the taxpayer."

Karren Brady hit back and said the Olympic Stadium deal was good for the taxpayer.

A West Ham United spokeswoman told Telegraph Sport:

“West Ham United is a private company and as such may make donations to whatever organisations or causes it chooses, be that a political party or the numerous charities the Club supports.

“The event itself was a very pleasant evening for those attending, including some of our corporate sponsors and partners attending as guests of the Club.”

This revelation has since come under scrutiny by Labour MPs.

Jim Fitzpatrick, the MP for Poplar and Limehouse, told Telegraph Sport:

"If the directors want to support the Conservative Party that's no surprise. Using the money from fans and sponsors I think is inappropriate. It's their company however, and the shareholders will have the chance to comment."

Mike Gapes, the MP for Ilford South, told the i:

"I wasn't consulted as a season ticket holder about this. Among those people who pay hard-earned money to watch West Ham, there will be thousands of Labour voters."

They take away an extra unecessary game which leaves gaps for two another game. If they chopped the two legged semi down to one then that leaves another gap for more games. I think it makes plenty of sense myself. Just my two cents anyway.

Funnily enough I think he fits into our team better than any of the other obvious clubs.  I hope he's got better character than to go to Liverpool.  Perhaps a return to Spain, Atletico?

Fairly sure he has said he loves playing in England, just can't quite find an obvious home for him.

When he plays for England I want him to do well. People need to not let clubs come into it when it's internationals.

The consolation is with all the off season hype around them teams will be motivated to play them, That's not even mentioning the possible thrashing you boys will give them at the Bridge next year, I'm a betting man and if United have to face Chelsea early on in the season, I could see a 3/4-1 Chelsea win. Hazard, Costa and Fabregas will be more up for that game than a threesome with Michelle Keegan and Kendall Jenner, They will want revenge for the three rats thing, Mourinho's departure made them look so bad and if they have anything about them, I'd expect a game raising performance from each of them.

Think we may have to ship Costa the other way of we want Griezmann

 

Replace Costa and Willian with Lukaku and Griezmann? How does that sound? :) Won't happen though.
