I don't think it's enough with Hazard, Willian and a helpess Cuadrado to cover our two wing positions for 60+ games.

 

I would be happy with one of these: Sterling, Reus, Pedro, *Isco.

I don't think we rotate enough for it to be a problem, we should learn from our lesson with KDB, Salah and Cuadrado who barely played. Someone like Traore can come in and fill that spot instead.

Couldn't care less if we didn't sign anyone, we aren't entitled to big name signings each year. 

 

We should always strive towards improvement. Our first XI has obvious flaws that could be fixed if we got the right type of player. Easier said than done this summer, but United are catching up and we should try to strenghten if we can. If Mourinho's preferred targets aren't available, then I'm obviously okay with us not diving into the market. Don't want any meaningless panic buys like Meireles.

KDB was unlucky to be in our team when we had Mata, Willian, Shurrle, Oscar and Hazard at the same time. I was against us buying WIllian, because I knew one of the others would be leaving eventually, wich ended up beeing both Mata and KDB. We also sold Shurrle and brought in Cuadrado and Salah, both haven't been a good fit. 

 

I think Willian is getting alot more gametime then what he deserves. In 13/14 season he and Shurrle rotated alot whenever we needed a more attack minded winger, but last year Shurrle never recovered from the World Cup and Illness to give Willian a challange and Cuadrado as Shurrles replacement was a disaster. I see it as a big weakness going into the new season if we leave Willian unchallange in his position for a whole year, we would also be in serious trouble with an injury to either Hazard or Willian.

 

Traore only started to play well for Vitesse when he was switched to Striker. In 11 games he got 1 goal and made 1 assist as a wide forward. In 20 games as a striker he scored 13 goals and made 4 assists. I'm not sure how he will handle Premier League either, not someone that I will count on as backup for WIllian and Hazard.

I think that's harsh on both Salah and Cuadrado neither have given much opportunity. I think Troare could be the "signing" of the summer if given the opportunity.

There's no way you can know that, like everyone else you are just going on what's reported which is speculation and rumor.

Chelsea will not sign Pogba or Griezmann in this window. However, I know that even if we don't sign them that is in no way proof I knew what I was talking about. I have it on good authority Jose is not interested in either player. Whether that's at their current price or whether even if we were offered an exclusive option to buy them we wouldn't because Jose doesn't think they fit in our team, I don't know. That also doesn't mean we won't change our minds but as far as I'm aware as it stands were not interested in either.

Willian was our best player after hazard for the second half of last season especially towards the end he really came through when we needed him, he doesn't get nearly enough praise from some Chelsea fans, if you said to me lose Willian or fabergast I wouldn't even think twice...Willian should be our number 10 he isn't a winger, if you recall when we played Donetsk he look leathal every time he picked up the ball and starting running through the middle, he is an engine for the team, so important, it makes me wonder people's game understanding who don't rate Willian highly

I'm more concerned that we are seeing Ake and Izzy Brown and others sent out on loan. The squad seems lighter now than it was in May. 

 

How many games did they play between them last year before we'd sown up the league? Ake might have played once or twice in the cup and Izzy not once I believe?

I'm sure we'll survive without them.

Hopefully, we are proved wrong but so far it seems we are content to sit on our laurels, so to speak ... adding and "playing" promising youngsters is just not Jose's style ... Therefore, it's looking like a possible thin squad, once again? Personally, a couple of quality signings to improve the likes of Mikel and Cuadrado would be ideal ...

Willian hit form towards the end of the season, but there was several games through the season where he wasn't in form, or when we could have used a more attacking option on our right wing. I also disagree about WIllian beeing our number 10, whenever I see him in that position for Chelsea he seems to be out of ideas in our attacking play and slows everything down, When he was playing his best towards the end of the season it was as a right wing as well.

^ Can't get my head around why Willian is so highly rated on this forum, fans must be using a weird metric for judging him. I have heard words like "secondary assists" and "assist assister"; what is certain is he had 4goals 5 assists in 47 games last season and 4goals and 4 assists in 2013/14.

Because with Ivan bombing forward every 2.8 seconds someone has to protect the right hand side of the pitch which I feel he does really well obvs we could have a better attacking RW but his energy levels, commitment and attitude really appeal to me others may disagree but I personally love willian :D

Some of us watch games and make our own decisions and don't need ESPN stats to tell us who is playing well, Willian was clearly an important player for us last season.
