Chelsea Vs Arsenal 19th September 12:45GMT

I think we're going to be absolutely shredded. I'd like to think that the players will see this as a big occasion and rise to it, but there's no motivation or determination behind them at the moment. They don't care what happens out there. If we're going to lose, let's at least play for pride.

I realise that makes me out to be a doom-mongerer, but does anyone really expect to win considering how the team has been playing so far this season?

                             Begovic
Azpillicueta -- Zouma -- Cahill -- Rahman
                         Matic -- RLC
                Pedro -- Willian -- Hazard
                               Remy

I'll have to agree with the doom-mongers here, this game is going to be a 90-minute train crash in slow motion.

I imagine we'll see the same line-up against Everton but with Oscar back for Mikel, if he's fit.

Begovic

Ivan

Zouma

Terry

Azpi

Fabregas

Matic

Pedro

Oscar

Hazard

Costa

Not quite the team I want but it's what I'd expect. As for the score, I'm going for 4-1 to Arsenal. I'll then cry into my coffee.

They'll bombard Ivanovic all day long. Cant see past a defeat, 3-1... sad times

The pace they have with Walcott, Sanchez and Chamerlain will crush our already fragile back line.

I'm not even sure what we could do to stop the rot for this one...

Wenger must be rubbing his hands.

He'll see that Ivanovic has no confidence and keeps backing off and allowing crosses into the box.

He'll have noticed Fabregas has gone missing from midfield.

And he would be blind not to see that Costa has been way off form, he's been easy to wind up, and easy to contain.

If I was Jose I would stop Wenger rubbing his hands and drop them all.

I think against Arsenal the first goal is going to be crucial-If we get it than we can sit deep and defend and try to counter whereas if Arsenal get the first goal than we could be in for a repeat of the City game.

Nice to see Arse defeated tonight and have a rough game, hopefully a rough journey home and an early ko Saturday should tip this one our way and get the season back on track!

Before this thread is flooded, RLC to start posts..... ready.... go

tbf a few of us though that before tonight.

Realistically he won't, but that sends out a bad message from Jose if you turn in a good, arguably man of the match, display tonight and then get dropped.

I expect it will be the usual team with Jose forced to make 2 changes to it with Pedro and Willian likely out of the game, meaning Oscar and Ramires start:

Begovic

Brana---Cahill---JT---Azpi

----Cesc----Matic

Ramires----Oscar---Hazard

-------Costa

I would sooner we went with:

Begovic

Azpi---Zouma---Cahill----Baba

---Ramires---Mikel----RLC

----Oscar-----Hazard

---------Remy

Why? JoeyN has a point about Hazard, and you can see the improvement second half today. He is our one, when in form, true world class player. Remy deserves a start and more than 20 minutes as a striker, his pace could open Arsenal up. Costa from the bench to add impact later.

Side has energy in midfield, and Mikel informed to anchor the side.

Like I said do not expect it, first side I think starts.

Id go with

Dave......Zouma....Terry.....Baba

..............Matic

.......Oscar.......RLC

..Ramires.....Costa......Hazard

Dunno about Rambo that far forward, not much use, I'd swap him with remi or kenedy if Willian and Pedro still out,

What a feeling after the win against Maccabi. My flight is tomorrow for this match, I'm coming very motivated and the only thing in my mind is WIN!

I'd like to make a change in my last XI:

Begovic

Azpi

Zouma

Cahill

Baba

Matic

RLC

Bertrand Traore

Oscar

Hazard

Costa

You got your present Axman, many happy returns.

Thank you, was nice but I was more hoping for a "beating of Arsenal" type of gift on Saturday ahead of the actual day ;)
