The clear pen on Haz from Gabriel he said thy were both holding each other but Gab was stronger, uh he blatantly uses both arms to push Haz over and when the whole Costa-Gabriel thing kicked off after the Koscielny moment. He says Costa swiped at Gabriela face yet doesn't say anything about Gabriel grabbing Costa by the neck.

Loved how Danny Murphy called out Shearer saying he'd have been off every week for doing what Costa did.

I was watching on the television but I never, sounded like he got a great response and all the write ups I've seen have said the same? I'm sure even Ferdinand said it was a good reception?

I disagree with those that say Ivan was better. He was hardly tested, played very deep and when he did get forward accomplished little.

Also our attack was toothless as usual endless passing round their penalty area but few clear cut chances. We did take more outside shots but clearly we need more practice, either straight at cech or out of the stadium.

Our attack is still limited by the wing backs lack of pace and our constant need to cut back inside.

just can't understand how some here are putting costa down because of the slap to koscielny face. and even feel a little guilty 'cause he wasn't sent off. for fu*k's sake how many elbows to his face and head did he received over past and present year without an opponent beeing sent off? none?

After watching MOTD I wouldn't say I condone Costa's behaviour but it's no worse than any other player. To be fair at first I don't think any of the players do much wrong and yellow cards all round would have been fair enough but Gabriel stupidly committed another offence and left the referee with no choice.

 

On the match, this could prove to be a massive three points with a very winnable match against Newcastle up next.

 

It was good to see Hazard on the score sheet again albeit with a touch of fortune.
