October 6, 201510 yr Fabio Capello says Chelsea’s struggles are symptomatic of a typical Jose Mourinho side after “a year and a half”. Capello is currently out of work after being axed by Russia in July after a three-year tenure and he believes Mourinho is also coming to the end of his second spell at Stamford Bridge after arriving in the summer of 2013. The 69-year-old Capello has labelled Mourinho a “great coach” but is convinced he has reached the point now where his influence is starting to become nominal. “He’s a strategist,” Capello told Gazzetta dello Sport. “In this moment of difficulty, he has asked his club either to back him or sack him. The club have decided to defend him substantially with a statement. “Mou is a great coach but, after a year and a half, he ruins his players. His lads are also psychologically unable to give him what he wants. His cycles tend to last around this period of time.” “They don’t have any rhythm, any aggression,” added Capello, “(Branislav) Ivanovic is not his usual self and the loss of Courtois is a huge blow because lots of the goals Chelsea have conceded would not have gone in had they had their No. 1 goalkeeper.”
October 6, 201510 yr a year and a half now, next it'll be 6 months then suddenly he'll never have been a good manager ever Edited October 6, 201510 yr by Stim
October 6, 201510 yr It may just be Jose is an excellent short term manager but his methods simply wear off after a while, his track record would suggest that. Personally I think its a culmination of maybe that and a lot of other things as well. Most importantly some players do not look fit, blame that on whatever or whoever but the manager will ultimately take the blame. Time to play RLC ,Kenedy, Traore,Baba at least they're fit (hopefully). Up the work rate and hope it compensates for the poor form !! Edited October 6, 201510 yr by will12
October 6, 201510 yr His method is negative so any player who got some sort of skill wouldn't enjoy playing his style.. sure, people will get together for greater cause like winning the league or something but once that achieved, they unlikely would wanna go that route again.. The main thing about playing football is always playing with the ball, not chasing shadow..
October 6, 201510 yr His method is negative so any player who got some sort of skill wouldn't enjoy playing his style.. Well you just made that up. That's not even a little bit true.

October 6, 201510 yr Capello is looking for a new job. Mez Wouldn't be the first time Roman has paid his wages.
October 6, 201510 yr Mourinho just has to adapt. If he truly wants to stay for 10+ years he must know that it won't always work out, and when it doesn't the onus is on him to get a solution and get things right.I understand the backing of trusted players, but in my mind he let it go on for too long this year, and benched the wrong players when he did try and mix it up.I think he's the right guy for the job.

October 6, 201510 yr Well you just made that up. That's not even a little bit true. Did I? didn't eto complain playing that way while on inter? Hazard sort of complained too 2 seasons ago after that atletico madrid game.. My statemenet defnintely is a bit hyperbole but ya catch the drift..

My statemenet defnintely is a bit hyperbole but ya catch the drift.. Eto`o? the bloke complains about everything. Care to show where Hazard complained? Many, many attacking players have flourished under Mourinho, and many, many have been gutted/devastated when he has left their club. You`re garbage statements are ridiculously agenda driven and embarrassing.
October 6, 201510 yr Are we going to get this Mourinho bashing throughout the whole of the international break ? If so then this forum is going to become very boring. I'm all for people sharing their opinions but everyone is just repeating themselves now.
October 6, 201510 yr Did I? didn't eto complain playing that way while on inter? Hazard sort of complained too 2 seasons ago after that atletico madrid game.. My statemenet defnintely is a bit hyperbole but ya catch the drift.. Eto'o hated playing in Mourinho's system so much he signed on for a second crack at it. Hazard hates playing in the system so much he committed to another 5 years of playing in it.

You`re garbage statements are ridiculously agenda driven and embarrassing. many many? lol.. there are also that many many who don't like his style.. real madrid didn't shed a tear when he left.. dude, I give example that I didn't make it up but ya shoot it down the way ya did and going all defensive mode with that last bit of statement., so much of a chelsea fan that ya coudn't even remember the little bust up between hazard and jose 2 seasons ago.. hazard said it numerous times the way he likes to play footie so by saying the manager didn't set up to play footie is basically he's not enjoying..

You obviously don't have a clue, Mourinho had a huge fan base at Madrid actually and let's not forget that there are people still involved with the club at certain levels who wanted him back. The bust up? You mean the one the papers reported but Haz and Jose made jokes about at the POTY awards. Let's not forget that Hasard had his best ever season in football last season under Jose. Also who can forget the wonders he did for Joe Cole. Edited October 6, 201510 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
October 6, 201510 yr Then someone send him a map to Sunderland. Surely given Roman knows Capello's ability he would not employ him again....... but at least JT will still be playing in years to come walking stick et al lol
October 6, 201510 yr It's weird! I'm used to older posters retorting, "Where were you when we were sh*t?" But we now seem to be in the position of having to ask, bemusedly, "Where were you when we were brilliant?" Edited October 6, 201510 yr by moi

I wouldn't look too much into hazard best season, with his ability he should have scored a lot more goals and making a lot more assists, his best is yet to come.. I'm wating for that day when he's fully unleashed..
October 6, 201510 yr The ya and dude is even more annoying than the use of "mate" - as soon as you see someone start a post with "mate" you know he is going to disagree with the previous post! "mate" in my ears says "I don't know you and I think you're talking rubbish!"

I'm wating for that day when he's fully unleashed.. Made up? How am I making stuff up it's well known from Gulliam Ballague that Jose has supporters in Madrid. The media made it out to be something more than it was clearly by the fact the two made jokes about it. Under Jose Hazard has become a much much better player same as Joe Cole did but of course Ben anti Mourinho you'll ignore that and continue to post crap to support your bollocks statements.
October 6, 201510 yr I applaude Roman's decision to support Jose. I suppose if you want stability, you have to resist the temptation to press the rest button when things aren't going well. I assume Jose will get $ to spend if he hangs on until the next transfer Window or summer. Now the ball is completely in Jose's court, will be interesting to see what he will do for the next game. Will he finally correct his mistakes or just go on with his own way now he has more backing? I still have lots of doubt about he could turn this around and secure us a top 4 finish. He has done lots of damage to the player's morale with his mad selection this season. I wonder how will Matic react if he's picked next game, that was a kick in the gut last Saturday for dropping him, then subbing him again in the game. How will Pedro react if he's on the bench again? I'm sure he would be starting for Barca now if he stayed. JT/Zouma/Cahill, who should be playing? I doubt even Jose knows. There's still the small matter of Ivanovic and Cesc.
