Sick of these lies! Chelsea always taking Wolves North Bank is a lie!

Featured Replies

It wasn't me who started talking about the old days, it was your guy who started the thread.

You didn't seem to mind him posting a load of lies!

At least me posting as wound you lot up.

It's a pleasure to put you right at last.

38 years your pathetic attack as annoyed me for and it's a pleasure to finally get the story out.

Hey, think I will sign up to other forums and let them all know the truth of the cowardly Chelsea boys:

Especially as your other forum discusses ALL the times the SHED was taken,

West Ham ok, but Arsenal?

Seriously?

http://forums.cfcnet.co.uk/topic/32798-the-original-shed/page-2

And another lie about how you took the stretford end, answered by someone who was there at

http://redtwins.com/?p=266

If you ain't bothered don't read it, simples!

But I bet you will, happy days

In the words of the great philosopher, Princess Elsa, just let it go for f**k sake!

Ha ha enjoy your memories that's all wolves have.

Well, they do have one really strong memory - If I'm correct (my dad's a Wolverhampton fan through local club in 1966) they essentially created the Champions League after claiming to be the best club in Europe....

They never qualified.

Ha ha what a response. Here's a joke for you to be said in that wonderful Black Country accent of yours.

'' What's the difference between a Buffalo and a Bison ? ''.

'' You can wash your hands in a Bison''.

Thought we were the first English team to be offered a place in the European cup but the fa told us not to bother because its a mickey mouse cup. Wasn't the champions league format born in the early 90s.

Cheers. I'll have to search it up at some point!

We were the first after our league title in 55, the shortsighted imbeciles at the fa thought a European cup was a daft gimmick and refused to allow us to enter.

But then allowed Manchester United take part in it a year later. The same club who decades later then withdrew from the FA Cup to take part in FIFA World Club Cup - a competition that could back then be considered nothing more than a distraction. They didn't even qualify for a place in the third place playoff match as they managed only one win, which was against the mighty South Melbourne.

First off, as so many others have said, no-one gives a toss. No-one except you.

Secondly, "We're the boys in royal blue, we took Molineux" is a song. Why "Molineux"? Becauue it rhymes with royal blue, just as "friend" rhymes with "end" in another song that used to reverberate around Stamford Bridge back in the day.

Those were the days my friend, we took the Stretford End

We took the Kop, we took the f**king liot

We'd fight and never lose, then we'd sing up the blues

Those were the days, oh yes those were the days.

Did we really take the Stretford End? Or the Kop. I don't know and I don't care. Such chants can be safely filed under mythology. Every club has their own version, every other club at some time has sung: "And we will fight for ever more, because of Boxing Day". Mythology again, which may or may not have a grain of truth. Nobody cares.

I've been to Molineux a few times, and while I have no memory of the "cowardly" incident you describe, my abiding memory is the infamous 7-1, which I'm sure you remember. How can you not? It's a scoreline that puts every other trip to Molineux in the shade.

As for the question of taking ends, we were in God only knows how many ends, all over the midlands and the north, not to mention the likes of Bristol, Cardiff (where we took a right hiding one year) whether we were in whatever happened to be your end of choice on any given day I couldn't tell you. Once in the home end, on comparatively rare occasions it would actually go off, Cardiff and Millwall being a couple of prime examples - and we were the first mob to ever attempt to take the CBL. that much is fact, but most of the time it would be a matter of a small mob getting in early, standing quietly together, picking the moment to announce themselves, at which point the home fans would usually scatter. Whether it went off, how long we stayed in their end, depended among other things on how efficient the old bill were. Occasionally people got hurt, but most of the time the shock value was enough for the home fans to keep their distance. Sometimes we'd be in the end for the entire game, surrounded by old bill, other times we'd get either turfed out or escorted to our own end. Very rarely would there be the running battles or the batterings beloved of mythology.

The above is of course a hugely simplified potted history of how it was back in the '70s and '80s. Those days are long gone, and thank f**k for that, most people would say. To carry a grudge for forty years is quite frankly obsessional to the point of insanity - and that goes for whether or not your description of events is in any way accurate.

Try as I might I don't see the point of you being here. What you're trying to prove, why you're so obsessed. My advice, for what it's worth, would be to walk away quietly, disappearing into your very own old gold sunset.

Walk quietly in to the sunset?. Something your not capable of hey sunshine or should I say Hutch, Lofty, Tommy Docherty, Big Figure and now Fuqqueue it's all rather Te Dious isn't it sunshine?

So you rejoined just to make a spiteful little comment like this?

If you find his posts tedious, just don't bother reading them.  Spare us your misspelled, badly punctuated jibes.

This is even more embarrassing than the wolves fans posts :)..thread of the year this.

If the Wolverhampton fans got a slap in the 70's it was an act of revenge for inflicting Slade on humanity.

Man up & just take it on the chin!.

( quite literally by the sounds of things)

OI...Leave Slade out of this...

One of the posts stated "no one cares" but it would seem rather different in reality.

Of course people care, especially the sad old b********* like me.

Hey, hope I haven't offended Chelsea's old guard, coz your right in what you say, you always turned up at our place, but we didn't turn up at yours apart from 76 when we took your north stand (we didn't of course unless we use the Chelsea adage of "if your in an end, you must have taken it")

74/80 Wolves were quite formidable at home, which was a surprise to many including Leeds (who were massacred in the South Bank 1976, cardiff, liverpool, and many others (West Ham, toe to toe action, no-one moved all match-best I've seen in the South Bank) all had tough times in there and were glad to get away.

Agreed we didn't go to London much apart from Arsenal in the cup 78 when you lot turned up in the clock end.

There was no action there part from Arsenal turning up outside where there were minor skirmishes. Don't know what happened to your lot.

Anyway, my whole point is why doesn't everyone be honest about what happened, what glory is there in telling lies, for example, we took 3000 to Forest 76 and got absolutely hammered, and I personally didn't think I would get home that day, never seen anything like at the time or since, although we got murdered at Man Utd in the cup 76 (who didn't though) before we even got into the ground.

So there you go, the one and only time you were ever in the North Bank (where the women & kids where) was when you cowardly decided to take on the women there rather than the lads next to you in the South Bank.

Just telling it like it is!

Always hated you lot though, I pray you go down this season. It would be almost better than man utd going down in the 70's, especially with the always arrogant Mourino moaning all the way to his 10m pay off!

I think the problem with you lot is you will always be 4th best in London, fanwise obviously, behind West Ham, Millwall, Spurs and I think that really hurts you. Don't know why but it does.

Thanks for listening to me, after telling the truth about that, think I can rest easy now, been bugging me for 38 years so feels good getting off my chest.

I've done the Leeds forum where they spouted same sort of rubbish, so suppose I'll go see other idiots are saying such.

Bye

It's been bugging you for 38 years but now and only now, after being openly mocked by the majority of members of an opposition fans forum for being a bit weird.....you can "rest easy".

You are on a roll mate; I think you should keep fighting the good fight... one fans forum at a time you should not rest until everyone knows the truth.

and we appreciate your open honesty of being the biggest coward in the stadium that game as you and your "hard men" sat and watched your most vulnerable fans get taken by Chelsea hooligans..... that or its all just a lie.

Tah tah

In '76 the old bill had it sussed and segregated the away fans. Your turn out for a top of the table clash and compared with the likes of Forest and Cardiff was pretty sh*t to be honest. It was sh*t at Fulham the previous season too.

Leeds away were pretty w**k until the 80's. You could count their numbers on one hand at Chelsea in '75 and they only brough a few more when they beat us 0-3 in September '78.

Agreed we didn't go to London much apart from Arsenal in the cup 78 when you lot turned up in the clock end.

Despite what you read Arsenal were no mugs and despite taking them at Xmas a few hundred Shed boys would never survive in the Clock End at a match we weren't playing. Many of us got out of there pretty sharpish at half time.

We took thousands to both, took/got given the Trent End opinions based on whoever you beleive, but took it to the side terrace also, were the first team in London to take massive numbers to OT in a non-all ticket match and did every season afterwards.

So there you go, the one and only time you were ever in the North Bank (where the women & kids where) was when you cowardly decided to take on the women there rather than the lads next to you in the South Bank.

Yawn.

Just telling it like it is!

Like every other club. Jealous or something?

I think the problem with you lot is you will always be 4th best in London, fanwise obviously, behind West Ham, Millwall, Spurs and I think that really hurts you. Don't know why but it does.

4th best at what, football or aggro? Hats of to all those three but we've had our day against all of them. Where do you come in the Midlands table, certainly behind Forest, Birmingham, Leicester and Stoke, even Shrewsbury are more game given their numbers

Fella you've just mugged yourself right off with that crap about us being London's 4th best fan wise, historically on & off the pitch we've always been amongst the top table in London.

Now what you should have done is ask if your thread could be in our vintage section where you'll get posters like me who has a valid interest in the off the pitch scene, also rather than attacking us(verbally because thats all Wolves have ever done v us) for something that did or did not happen 38 years ago, why not open a debate about it?

I notice you've forgot to mention that Chelsea were all over your pitch in 1976/77 in our promotion game.

I havent got an issue with other fans coming on here & talking about the scene, just as long as its done in a sensible way & not post any crap like you did above.

That's the funniest thing about this; posting in this forum about this subject is pretty futile. A good chunk of football fans reading a premier league teams football forum in 2015 are probably having to Google Wolverhampton Wanderers because they thought it's was a rugby league or ice hockey team or something. Anyway, the old guy's probably just frustrated he can't keep his own end up any more.

This is even more embarrassing than the wolves fans posts :)..thread of the year this.

Ok, so who the Caramel? what is the relation to Lofty, have we stumbled upon some inter galactic war that is raging across galaxy's and parallel universes ?

If so my first pick is the doctor... but not the current model, I will take the 10th version if that's ok
