Hope we do pounce for him, we are definitely after someone, if the stories are right about Falcao is about to Foxtrot Oscar out of here, Vardy being supplied by Hazard Oscar Willian and Cesc sounds good to me...

What do you mean no thanks, we can't be that selective or snobbish, he would be brilliant in our side, and he is quick enough to play wide, so could accommodate Costa, make a wicked foil in a 2 up top scenario..

He's been on a great run of form, but I don't think he's really anything special. And we'd be talking 20m+ since he's English.

He's playing well but he doesn't hit you in the face with supreme ability, more just raw pace, confidence and fighting spirit.

If his confidence dipped even slightly you'd be looking at a mid-table player at best.

guys, c'mon now!  :face_palm:  vardy has had a good season, but is nowhere near world class level and shouldn't even be mentioned as a genuine target for us. we have multiple guys on loan and other strikers at the club already, of whom should be given chances. as much as everyone dismisses him, falcao hasn;t been given a fair chance to do anything at all. i would rather bring bamford or solanke back than buy vardy who is nearly 30 y/o.

1 good season does not merit the sort of talk this is gathering.

How many English strikers have had a great goal scoring season to eventually fade into the background or at best mid table sides?

Costa is still significantly better technically meaning his base level is far superior.

I think that is very debatable. Costa got where he is with good movement, positioning and clinical finishing, that seem's to have disappeared this season. Without those abilities he is a very poor footballer. His first touch is awful, his pace is nothing special, he isn't very strong, even though he tries to come across as hard nut. His passing and link up play has never been anything great either.

Costa need's to go back to that player that was waiting for the pass in the penalty area, because the way he is playing this season is showing just how limited he is.

I would say that Vardy has a lot more ability than Costa right now. He's a better finisher, he's quicker, his touch, passing, stength and link up play is better too. I'm not sure i am in favour of us signing him though. He is playing in a very attacking team who are playing quick football, we don't play anything like Leicester. The way we are playing now doesn't suit striker's like Vardy.

After tonight I would go all out for mahrez

I'd prefer mahrez as well tbh. How many of our players would have scored that goal. Most wouldn't have got under control, and those that did would looked to pass.

Me too, he look's like the real deal. Vardy is getting all of the attention, but Mahrez has been the player of the season so far.

I agree with chelsbear. He's doing what he is doing because of his team mates; the team. When you take people away from that systems most fade into the distance. Demba Ba! Victor Moses, ...Bony "Oct 15, 2015 - FRUSTRATED Wilfried Bony admits 2015 has been the worst year of his career"

I'm not sure he would want to leave the party at the Ritz for the party happening at the Red Lion

Of all the Leicster players, I'd like Kante, he's a proper defensive mid, breaks up the play really well and releases the ball quicky to get attacks going. Very much in the mould of Makelele, not as good obviously, but alongside matic i think we'd have a good pairing
