Everton v Chelsea FA Cup

Featured Replies

We are going to end up with most players injured if e c*nt of the ref doesn't put a stop to them. They look as dirty as the Liversc*m.

evissy - rest assured you've missed nothing

if it wasn't for the fun of reading all the comments from Shedenders I'd have to say that was 45 minutes of my life that was a complete waste

Just so slow and ponderous. Years of trying to turn us from a pacy, strong team into a slow, technical, possession-based, Barcelona-lite seem to be paying off for Roman.

It's why Costa is so important for us because he's the only one (apart from Willian occasionally) who plays direct, towards the goal.

Mikel and Matic limit us so much though. The number of times Costa has pulled wide and NO-ONE gets in the box is absolutely pathetic. It just needs someone, maybe Loftus-Cheek, to get in there and give the defenders something to think about.

All Hiddink is doing is isolating Costa and letting Everton wind him up. It's a really bad tactical decision from Guus in my opinion.

I think one goal might decide this. The game is very bitty - the ref has let too much go and the fouls are dominating the game. I get the sense that Chelsea are most likely to score, touch wood.

I just honestly can't understand how when Hiddink sits down to write the team sheet, he still after all this time thinks that Mikel and Matic is a good pairing? There's no doubt we're a lot more defensively able but when we're going forward it's like playing without a midfield, very difficult to get from A to B

Costa's booking really was pathetic stuff from everton. If any of our players went in like barry did on costa or faked injury like that we would never hear the end of it.

"He's almost put Pedro out of the game with that tackle, it's great"

f**k right off

English football has become so dated and the pundits constantly think back to how the game was played in the 70's and 80's. No wonder why England can't produce any good footballers anymore, we haven't move on with the times.

Poor first half. Tip tap football. Costa should be more in the center of the pitch, but i can see why hes coming out wide, theres no one making any crosses for him.

Fair play to the chels support pure class.

Players should take a leaf out of their passion and commitment.

Come on chels

I'm surprised to hear them say they don't think it was a pen, you can't push a player with two hands in the box whether they'll get to it or not.

I'm not surprised. If that was the opposite end, they would be saying we were lucky not to give a penalty away.

Agree with most, really poor game.

Costa's our only physical presence outside the defence, and Willian and Fabregas look the only two comfortable on the ball i their half.

We're as well taking one of the DMs off. Oscar or Loftus Cheek in the middle, a bit more of attacking intent.

Can't see this being a pretty win but it'd be a damn satisying one if we got it against this lot.

Gaping hole in the middle when Costa goes wide. Which is puzzling because he's also been out there alone. Cesc and Matic are too slow for this game and neither can beat the 1st defender. Id like to see RLC on as well.

We played quite ok, the passing was quite all right overall... the players making run and make them available, acceptable intensity.. we should be able to take this game, just a matter of time..
