Still makes no sense. In a couple of years, both these players will retire/have a massive decline (since pace is so important for a winger), and bayern will be looking to buy not one but 2 world class wingers since they sold costa for signing a 29 year old sanchez. Makes no sense to me.

Per a lot of Bayern fans, Costa isn't good enough for them. It's why Bayern are open to offers for him this summer. They can get 3-4 good years from Sanchez and in the case of a Griezmann, probably twice that.

Douglas Costa has higher resale value than an ageing Robben, and they also have Coman who can play right wing. As unlikely (or impossible) as it may be my hope is they'll free up a place for Goretzka by selling Vidal to us (to give Conte further incentive to stay?)

The highest paid player in the AC team in Carlos Bacca on 3.5M Euro's a year (67k a week). Even with the club paying all of his tax he would still earn more at Chelsea. I'd imagine a player of his reputation and skill would earn upwards of 150k a year at Chelsea, even after tax he would be better off. Fact is no player goes to the Serie A to earn more money when the Premier league is calling.

You mean they're not all money-grabbing, greedy B'stards?  I think I need a lie down to absorb that thought...  

I simply don't get why Conte's former teamplayers don't want to join. We've seen a lot of them being available, yet no one seems to be prepared for a reunion.

Love the guy but is an alcoholic off the pitch, these types don't end well at the end of their careers

Because we have a competent player in that position.

Vidal is a real fighter and would do perfecly with Conte. However he is with Bayern and not even linked with us by anyone.

So, Vidal’s not being used by BM’s manager. Any chance of having him playing for Chelsea as of next summer?

I think we should avoid problematic players like Vidal.

Nainggolan is a smoker but Vidal's an alcoholic which can bring a set of different problems over here.

Vidal is past his prime and getting old, so i'd avoid. Don't get me wrong, he's still quality, but we need someone who can cement themselves in a team for a long time, and not just another quick fix

We  don't spend 40-50M on a 30 year old these days, and to be honest I don't rate him.

Vidal is a terrific player but I can't help but feel we've got too many players either passed it or on their way out: Fabregas, Cahill, Luiz, Pedro, Caballero, Willian etc 

We need to focus on young players with potential or already proven players in their prime.

I think on his day he can drive a team forward with his work rate and determination, but he is such a hot head. People moan at Bakayoko for the amount of fouls he gives away, they would moan even more with Vidal. He doesn't care if he's on a yellow card, he will still put in a tackle that could easily get him sent off.
