You shouldn't be afraid of Matuidi playing this one. Quite the opposite actually, you should hope he actually makes it. This player is a fraud.

Some praise that he does one hell of a job by running to the four corners of the pitch but this should be the strict minimum for a professional player.

Matuidi lacks the technical abilities and the discipline. When our team fights to recover the ball, he commits an incredible number of stupid and dangerous fouls giving the opponent 3 to 4 very good free kicks per game, and when we do have the ball, well, let's just say he looks like a mix between pacman and a pruner.

He is just living on the 4 goals he scored in August which is btw absolutely not what is required of him. Matuidi is just an average left midfielder with basic technique and great mentality.

When he got injured last week, everyone that I know was praying for him not to be able to play the game vs Chelsea because we all know it would be the only way for Blanc to play with Pastore, Di maria, Ibra and Cavani. And now Blanc wants to put him on the field even if he is not at 100% of his physical abilities which is his only strength??

Verratti is another story. We cannot play a decent game without him because Blanc, again, never cared to try an other organisation than his 4-3-3 with an aging Motta and a fraud like Matuidi who lets Verratti do all the work in his stead.

I really think Verratti will be there, it looks just like disinformation to me.

I never rated Matuidi aswel. I can't remember him causing us any problem the last time. Most people just overrate him for running around.

Can't see us not conceding, this will be a tough ask.

 

Yeah, have to admit that I am not over-optimistic for this second leg. 

 

I have faith that Guus and the coaching staff will have the lads well-drilled and set up and I know we have the players to cause PSG problems, but I just can't see us keeping a clean-sheet.

 

We need absolutely massive performances from EVERYONE - pretty much like in the run to us winning it back in 2012. Can't afford for any players to be a little off-form or go hiding on the night. Already nervous - just hope they can make us Proud.

Don't listen to this funny Zozio, Matuidi is a fraud and we are just hoping some PL mong would pull a David Luiz on us and buy him for 50M€.

Guys, just pray Matuidi will make it, he will run around like a headless chicken and demonstrate his ability to dismember himself like a dying gnu under a lion's jaw. He has the physique of Rui Barros and the technique of Saquille O'Neal.

Let him run in the air, and focus on the 2 other midfielders and the game is yours.

Hiddink will be wary of both last year's disappointment under Jose Mourinho and also ofhis own previous exit from the competition as Chelsea boss at the hands of Barcelona back in 2009, also at the expense of an away goal (plus some controversial refereeing from Tom Henning Ovrebo).

Well... it was Willian that lost the ball in a dangerous position. 

Given the scoreline Baba probably shouldn't have gone forward, but normally its not his fault. He can't be upfront attacking and back defending at once.

 

Not to mention people seem to have a short memory: Baba was MOTM vs PSG in the first game thanks to a worldie defensive performance.
