We should try some of our youth, players like Aina, Palmer, Da Silva, Abraham. We have to look at them and promote them to the senior team if they're talented enough.

 

We have some promising names like RLC, Traore, Kenedy, but I'd like to see more youth playing because I believe that we have good academy players that are good enough to play for us.

 

I'd like to see this starting line:

I think top 4 is gone with last week draw so it's time to see what our winter recruits have to offer.. It couldn't get that much worse, only 1 (meaningless) point difference between a draw and a lost..

IMO I can,t see Pato starting for Chelsea let alone coming on as a sub, but would like to see youth players given a chance

IliyaKrostin has it right.Some players could do with a rest as they have been below par.Also it would be good to see some youth come off the bench as well as Pato.To me this is the ideal game to try something new.I would love to see Da Silva start but i know that is asking too much.The top four has gone imo,lets throw caution to the wind.....UP THE CHELS!

Could not believe I was agreeing with Danny Murphy and Robbie Savage but if Chelsea don't take advantage of a shocking season by bringing through youth for the remainder then this season is right up there with the worst in living memory, considering expectations and previous achievements.

Loftus-Cheek and Traore should be first names on the team sheet for the remainder of the season.

I would also bring Pato on. This has been the most ridiculous signing since Djilibodji.

Said before the West Ham game that youngsters need to be used and it's the same here. Loftus-Cheek needs to start as does on of Kenedy or Traore.

 

Then there's the wildcards of Aina or Abraham but that's unlikely.

 

Will check the teamsheets an hour before kick-off and if it's Matic and Mikel and Guus looking to protect his oh so precious unbeaten run then there's no reason to take an interest in this match for me. We might win, I expect we'll draw but now is the time to look towards next season.

 

And Pato doesn't deserve to start. He isn't part of our future and it's shameful that he's even part of our present.

If Ruben doesn't get game time now... Then the question is, when?

Same tired, predictable XI picked for the West Ham game and we got the performance to match.

Neither Mikel or Matic is playing so well that they could protest to being dropped so let's do just that.

Give the boy some responsibility and a game against a piss poor Villa side is exactly the type of fixture to do it in.

Don't think it's too likely. In 5 away matches, Mikel-Matic have started two and one was the draw against Watford. The other was against Arsenal who were down to 10 men for most of it.

 

The other 3 away matches we've started just one and won all 3. Personally I'd start Mikel alongside Loftus-Cheek and Fabregas in a midfield 3 but I think what's more likely is that we start with Mikel and Fabregas and have Oscar has 'number 10'. Villa are just sh*t enough for Oscar to look half-decent against so why not?

If Guus doesn't do the right thing and pick the youngsters for this meaningless match then all respect for him has gone, IMHO ...

I hope he's not become obsessed with trying to protect this unbeaten run which has become totally pointless due to so many 'middle of the road' draws ...

LC, Ken, Tra ... should all start and the tried and tested rested for the remaining few games.

I want some of the younger boys playing.

Ruben, Traore, Kennedy, Baba and the likes. We have already seen what the likes of Matic, Mikel and co can do this season…give the fans something to appreciate for the remainder of this dire season.

I have no doubts Guus will plump for the same old boring underperforming 11 again though, he’s about as predictable as managers come.

We surely have to win this regardless as Villa are a seriously poor outfit, anything short of a win will be one of the worst results of our season.

Guus will protect his own record as opposed to bring through the youth. He will want as many points under his belt as possible.
