April 8, 201610 yr Is it me? I feel I'm limping to the end of the season as this one has been exhausting.
April 8, 201610 yr Terry, Matic, Hazard and Remy all injured. Costa suspended I think Traore was just rested last game after a late return from the international break. Also, in Guus' press conference earlier, he mentioned that he'd probably play a few kids this game too. Courtois Azpi Ivan Miazga Baba Mikel Cesc Willian Pedro Kennedy Pato

April 9, 201610 yr Is it me? I feel I'm limping to the end of the season as this one has been exhausting.Feel the exact same way. Can't wait for this nightmare to end.
April 9, 201610 yr Now that he seems fit enough for the squad I'd love to see Falcao get some minutes. Obviously Traore/Pato to start, but Falcao is more an out an out striker compared to those to. I know people slate him, and his time at Man Utd wasn't great but he was one of the deadliest strikers in the world, it was only injuries that kept him from playing.
April 9, 201610 yr Is it me? I feel I'm limping to the end of the season as this one has been exhausting. Same here. Can't wait for this to end, even if we're still the champions while it lasts. And to my own shock I can't even find the energy to get excited about the appointment of Conte. I just need a good pre-season, like Cuadrado :-)

Problem is there's almost zero chance of him being here next year so it's a bit of a waste of everyone's time to play him now. I think the same almost applies to Pato as well.
April 9, 201610 yr Is it me? I feel I'm limping to the end of the season as this one has been exhausting. It's a slog isn't it. Just Leicesters run keeping me motivated right now. Roll on the Euros.
April 9, 201610 yr The fact that we're now playing young lads and looking towards the future has actually rejuvenated my interest in matches recently. It's not ideal but at least we're not just playing the same old stuff and limping towards the finishing line. Hopefully it continues today.

Not necessarily, if we play him and he does well it saves us having to hunt for a second/third decent striker to give Costa competition next season. Edited April 9, 201610 yr by Malcolm9
April 9, 201610 yr Not necessarily, if we play him and he does well it saves us having to hunt for a second/third decent striker to give Costa competition next season. Right now the fee set to sign him would be £38 million, then there's his wages. That's for a 30 year old who has scored 5 goals in the last two years. There is no chance he's here next season.

Agree completely with you on Falcao we aren't going to pay that ridiculous sum for him, so there really is no point playing him. However since Pato is comparatively cheap, and has been on an upward trend over the last few seasons I think he might just have a chance of being signed on so I would like him to at least have a few opportunities to show what he can do. I would be giving Traore more game time though, as he is already a part of the club and needs time to develop, but I don't see why both can't be incorporated into the same line up, Troare came through our academy as a RW and Pato saw a lot of his football and probably his best football at Sao Paulo on the LW. April 9, 201610 yr Team I would like to see today. Courtois Azpi - Miazga - Ivanovic - Baba Fabregas - RLC Traore - Willian - Kenedy Pato I'm feeling pretty upbeat about this game and looking forward to seeing a few of the youngsters again. I'm going for another 4-0 win youthful reinvigoration is something this team has needed.

Traore didn't come through our academy. Yes he's capable of playing as an inverted winger/forward but he's had greatest success over the last two years (so pretty much all of his adult career) as a striker. This notion that Pato was signed for anything other than who he was 5 years ago is a little odd. His record in Brazil was OK but not good enough for a top European club to take a punt on him, so he's another player being signed on the basis that he'll regain what he once had. I'd much prefer we look to the future and maybe even give some of our young prospects a chance rather than sticking a rather iconic number on a once iconic player in the hopes of shifting some shirts.

I'm going for another 4-0 win youthful reinvigoration is something this team has needed. Mikel will start and he deserves to. I'm not his biggest fan but you need him in there otherwise that midfield gets completely overran and in all honesty, he's been pretty good at getting in Ruben's ear. In that team you're not getting anyone providing any cover for the defence and you're stopping Ruben from getting forward. Traore over Pato too. Edited April 9, 201610 yr by ShedEnder91
April 9, 201610 yr Swansea are awful. Another routine away win for the mighty against Welsh mediocrity. If all fit, I think Guus will go with the same team as last week with Pato replacing Remy.
April 9, 201610 yr Whoever thinks Falcao would cost us £38 million is having a laugh, no one could swing that price about based on how often he's played. If Monaco don't want him they are going to have to take a big loss on selling him. Anyway, hoping we play well today and get the three points required. Edited April 9, 201610 yr by Malcolm9
April 9, 201610 yr Ruben is a number 10. Idk why many see him as a "6". He never played that in the first team; always number 10.
April 9, 201610 yr Ruben is a number 10. Idk why many see him as a "6". He never played that in the first team; always number 10. Probably because he's not a 10. Have you watched him in the youth teams?

April 9, 201610 yr So, you've neva seen him play before then. I wrote "he never played that in the first team". Do you even read the whole comment? I just wrote, he never played that in the first team, therfore i don´t know why people see him besides Fabregas.
