Everton really is a scummy little club, we gave them their best striker for a decade and this is how they treat us? I'm not convinced on Lukaku but the way Everton handle themselves is disgusting for a midtable club.

Calm down. We probably never were in for Lukaku, so all of this supposed interest could be a smokescreen while we talk to different strikers.

Lukaku has always divided opinion at best, last time he was here he was the laughing stock of the training ground! is he a much improved player, probably, but 75 million? no thanks, not for me. Give Michy the chance, we already have him. and if we are going to blow 75 - 80 million i'd rather throw it at morata

The hysteria is funny. As are those already blaming x y or z and purporting to know what goes on within the club despite having no knowledge or evidence of anything.

 

For some time it looked like we were getting Lukaku and Utd were going to get Morata. If these rumours are true and we get Morata instead I'd be more than happy. Lukaku is a great player make no mistake about it, but for the way I'd like to see us playing I'd like a striker who is a better passer and better at link-up play (Lukaku is a pretty bad passer) so I'd rather Morata. Hoping conte also thinks this way.

It's also not a shock that Jose has gone for this. He has always looked to have a decent lump upfrount. Those Lumps just tend to vary in how good they are actually are at football.

Id be pretty gutted to lose him to United for £75m. That to me seems a fair price in today's market. 

I don't see why we are waiting for costa to go before signing a replacement, surely it should be the other way around? I can't imagine the 30m/40m we will get would make a massive amount of difference, with how much we have already generated in player sales, plus the vast amounts earned from sponsorship/tv rights/title. I know you could argue that it will weaken our hand with Atlético, but it's very clear already that costa needs to be sold this summer, signing his reolacement doesn't change that. 

We go on our tour on the 19th, so I'm  willing to hold off laying into the club until then, but if we haven't brought in the majority of our key targets by then, you have to wonder what we have been doing for the last 2 months. If we want to retain our title and put up a good showing, conte needs reinforments, and he needs them early so he can bring them up to speed, as time will limited during the season, with champions league football back on the horizon.

I get what you're saying (and I'm not a big Lukaku fan either) but this is going off the assumption that Morata is the finished article.

Morata is far from the finished article, and I have no doubt that Lukaku is the better finisher and probably has better movement but I think Morata's all round game will do more for our team.

Mate, they've got more domestic titles than every club in England bar three. Everton may be many things but little isn't one of them.

Remember how they "cooled their interest" in Griezmann hours before he announced that he wasn't going to leave Atletico???

I say they have "cooled their interest" in Morata because WE HAVE SWOOPED FOR HIM!!!
