Sorry to tell you... it's only half-time.

That first half reminded me of us at our worst last season. We got everything wrong. I know it's only a pre season game but that was pretty damn poor.

We have no threat with loftus-cheek up front. He is not attracting defenders, every run is accounted for. Play him in midfield dammit and put a true forward like batman up front. it's maddening

Bad performance until now, we're out of the game. Kovacic and Casemiro have the game in their legs, we don't have that quality now.

Second half surely can't be any worse

Pedro, RLC, Oscar and Matic have been really poor, bring on the much needed changes for the second half.

I sincerely hope thats the last we see of Matic in a Chelsea shirt. His drop off in quality is stuff of legends...

Real Madrid might be the european champions but we apparantly want to compete against teams at home who could potentially very well win it too. And its their second string side, against our best defence on paper at the moment...

I doubt it will be much better, it's not like we have any options in defence and central midfield, unless Kante gets some minutes. 

apart from Azpi, no players on the field in the first half should play West Ham,

Begovic- 2nd goalkeeper at best even with Curtois in his mediocre form last season

Terry and Cahill- past  their best, too slow 

RLC- disappointing, we keep waiting for him to realize his potential but,,,,

Oscar, Matic Pedro- sell please and release some cash

Traore - not a  1st or 2nd choice striker,  not yet

RLC is losing himself, we should let him play instead of Oscar in the second half. Striker position isn't an easy position and it takes time to learn the right movement and right places.

I think bringing in Kante for Matic could work miracles...

I know it's a friendly match, I know this game has no meaning, but can someone explain me what Matic and Oscar are doing?

It's not great but some of the bewetting is farcical (yet predictable!) we are million miles behind these Madrid players, even the reserves. Let's get some realistic perspective. 'Worst ever Chelsea performance' ffs

Having said that it's pretty clear who Kante is going to take the place of.

I disagree that we are that far behind this real madrid xi, at the the very least it should be an even game.

Loads of work to do, defence is terrible, we are struggling to win the midfield battles, and we are toothless going forward. Rlc is not a striker. Its like playing with 10 men.

On the plus side, we still have a number of potential starters to come in, however will these players be ready by the time the west ham game comes around? No one else has looked like they are comfortable with the new system and tactics yet, so im not sure how well kante, and hazard etc will cope with only 2 games prep.

Its going to take more time and money before we are looking like a team again. Hopefully the second half is an improvement.

That is unfortunately very true. The sooner Zouma comes back to fitness the better, along with the potential signing of Koulibaly

I don't really understand why we have Loftus-Cheek up front. I don't mind Conte experimenting, but there is nothing about Loftus-Cheek that makes me believe that he can become a striker. I don't even see the point in trying it out to be honest.

This is so depressing, No James Ronaldo Bale Benzema Modric Kroos and our best defence on paper are being schooled, its going to be a relegation battle next season from the look of things

stop doing this cheap shot, this trick of playing the victim card is getting really weary..  what do you expect him to do? the ref is simply doing his job properly.. The issue lies with our team, no need to use any deflection trick..

 

We started brightly but after their goal, we dropped off and never recover since... we looked like arsenal in term of that soft mentality.. letting a left back bossing the game should be a shame..
