If you could change one result from your time watching Chelsea. What would it be and why ?

I would change the 2008 Champions League Final result v Man United.

Why ? It still hurts losing to them.

Definitely this one.

Chelsea 2 leicester 2....steve f**king guppy. We win that we win the league.

The semi final against barca in 09 without a doubt. I can stand losing on a penalty shootout especially after we ended up winning one in Munich which made the win in 2012 even sweeter, but 09 was just plain robbery and the fact it happened 4 times suggests there was clearly an agenda against us that night. People call that Barca side of 09 the greatest team ever but the truth is had we'd been given a competent ref that night they would've been on the end of an absolute drubbing and perhaps pep's career wouldn't have progressed the way it has done?

FA Cup Final 1994, it still stings. But I guess it made 1997 just a little bit sweeter.

Pissed down all day as well, never forget it.

With the changes and the success over the years, some defeats were sweetened by league and cup success's. So for me losing against Boro in the playoff 87/88 for me hurt the most.

The Monaco fiasco of the 2003/2004 UCL - Don Claudio could have left CFC as a Champion - instead he had to perform a miracle @ Lesterer City - still props to him as he was one of my favorite gaffers of this club

This.....  f**king Steve Guppy

A bit left-field this one, but nothing sticks in my craw more than the 0-1 loss to Corinthians at the CWC in 2012.

Benitez...swapping a RB for a RB. Pure genius:slap_face:

2008 really hurt, but at least we made up for that.

We may never get the chance to win the CWC again.

The ones I would say have already been covered so I'm going to go for a personal one here. We played Liverpool at the bridge circa 2010? My best friend bought my ticket, we used to go games together a couple of times a season, nothing really tops having a best friend who is also a Chelsea fan! Anyway we lost 1-0 to a deflected shot off JT. That really ruined my birthday treat, w**kers. Still, at least I still have hub caps on my car after the game, that's something I guess...

The silver lining for the game was being about 6 seats back maybe 10 feet from the corner flag. We got to call Gerrard a scouse c**t to his face, the little look out the corner of his eye at us told us that he heard. I would just like to have the result to go with the story.

Wasn't that Fernando Torres' first game for Chelsea?

The rest, as they say, was history.

My bad, it was actually 2008! sh*t i'm getting old...

Xabi Alonso goal deflected via Bosginwa, no JT. Lets just say I didn't go back for a while, felt like a bad omen.

Like MissouriBlue the ones I'd say have already been mentioned so I'll go with Sheffield Wednesday away in 1992. We were 2-0 down at half time but thanks to goals from Vinnie, a worldy from Graham 'Maradona' Stuart and Eddie Newton we came back to lead 3-2 before Wednesday equalized in the last ten minutes (ended 3-3).

Why? Graham Stuart's goal and that dodgy away kit deserved to win any game.

I find solitude in the Spring of 2012 result - I remember Barca being embraced by many as the Best side of All-time & here comes underachieving Chelsea - I remember Neutrals were coming out the woodwork saying out loud how CFC had no right to being in this position - I even remember a certain gooner (I won't name him to soil our fine forum) who played for CFC saying he wished he never even played for CFC - then I remember the outburst of the purists when CFC got the result in Camp Nou & the high I was on for a month before Munich - still I won't recognize 09 UCL tie as a loss & btw it wasn't a loss - CFC went out on away goals

Chelsea vs Sunderland Milk cup semi final 1985......really believed that our name was on the cup that year.... Clive Walker killed us in the second leg and after his goal at Bolton kept the club alive 2 years earlier!... who would have thought it?.

2005 Champions League semi final second leg  v Liverpool, that was never a goal no matter how many bias media tossers say the Kop 'sucked' the ball into the net.

Fecking bellends, yes Cech may have be sent off and a penalty awarded to those deluded half wits but that still doesn't count as a goal does it.

I'm slowly getting over it but Clive's 1985 mullet is taking some time by jingo.

IN modern times it has to be the CL final against United. Bragging rights when you win the title or CL are always great but to beat another english team in the final just makes it even greater.  It also means JT would have a winners CL medal for a final he played in.

First game I thought off. Was we 2-0 up? Your spot on we should of won the league that year.

I was at that game and the end he f**king scored.

The Chelsea Utd game comes close, the amount of abuse I got of southern plastic Utd supporters.

good point there - I hate the fact that manure fans point at that incident when JT slipped - another reason why I hate manure

Aargh it is just football banter - we give it out to Gerrard so we need to take it back regarding JT.  Football without banter would be less than half as fun.

maybe for you, but manure has a huge following where I live - not sure how it is in London, but here in the US they show manure repeats & call the show 'Manchester Mondays' - the media makes this big thing about 1 Manchester Derby, but in London a club can have 4 Derby matches in a season & lately some of those matches have determined Championship runs

We have it everywhere mate.  I'm just of the view that you need t be able to take it if you give it out.  Granted it is harder if you are massively outnumbered but the principle remains the same.

I am on a private facebook group with a number of fans of different clubs and all slagging is allowed. I rip the shit out of Liverpool, Spurs and West Ham and they do sameto me about Chelsea.  Nbody gets annoyed - it is just banter.

94 fa cup final, traumatised my young self as I thought that was it for us potentially winning a trophy any time soon, little did I know as a 11 year old it was to be the start of the journey of our modern chelsea
