Chelsea's back line 

I seriously don't understand why do we keep playing the players that are bad for us. With all my respect to Ivanovic, but he can't play anymore, same as Cahill. We're losing games because of simple mistakes, first goal should not happen in u14 games, second goal is basic defending, every defender keeps attacker, and the third goal is tracking back, unacceptable goals for me. 

Put Aina there, give him the chance to play, he grew up in the club, he has a heart to the club, he will put 100% every game. Let him do the mistakes, he will learn from them and improve himself. If two experienced defenders that plays for their national teams doing mistakes like that, Aina won't be worse. 

 

Normally teams would at least score or create multiple of chances against them in this time of match but clean sheet was never in doubt.

This is as much Conte and players' loss as it is the board's. Everyone and their mother knew our problems at the back and yet we failed to address them for two summers in a row. 

I hope I'm wrong but I don't see us finishing in the top four come May and the fault for that doesn't start with the manager.

A truly terrible performance, no positives at all for me. The defence is worse than last season ( which is shocking because they were terrible last season ) and when the going get's tough, our so called top players go missing ( Hazard, Fabregas etc ). 

We just look like a terrible football team really. No guts, we collapse at any sign of trouble, and we show no emotion. They need to go and watch Chelsea from 2004-2010, now that was a proper team. They look like a group of players that just look happy to be picking up their paychecks at the moment. This is the worst group of Chelsea players i have watched in my time as fan. Even when we weren't one of the top teams in Europe you could still see the passion and commitment, i'm not seeing that at all from this lot.

I predicted we would lose but the first half was compete capitulation. Cahill has really been terrible this season 

that was totally abysmal. everyone underperformed, and even Conte got his tactic wrong. 6 games in, if you watch the first 4 games and the last 2, it's like you're watching different team with different manager
earlier this season we dominated (in a way) because everybody pressed and everybody knows where each others were. but the last two game, none of that. Arsenal and Liverpool only need to wait because sooner or latter we will misplace a pass or get dispossessed, and they can easily move the ball because none of our player wants to press. either Conte totally changed his approach, or the players are disinterested in winning, or both. whatever it is, it needs to change, or Conte won't last long

Courtois: Cash in as soon as possible and buy Butland or someone like that [SELL]

Azpilicueta - Only decent defender we have, but still out of position a lot

Cahill - Must be dropped, costing us every game [SELL]

Luiz - Did we keep the receipt? [SELL]

Ivanovic - Must be dropped [SELL]

Kante - Shocking today. So lazy just jogging back every time Arsenal countered, hardly closed anyone down, just jogged around in front of them

Matic - Does nothing in either direction. So f**king slow with the ball. [SELL]

Fabregas - Showed why he wasn't getting picked

Hazard - 4 or 5 good games and now he's reverted to doing nothing

Willian - Runs about a lot. Not much else. Worst dead-ball delivery in the league at the moment.

Costa - Only bright spot in the whole game

 

Subs:

Pedro - Utter pants

Batsyhai - Barely touched the ball so hard to judge

Alonso - Looks a poor signing

 

Conte - Clueless. Awful setup to begin the game, just like the last 2. 3 at the back looks even worse, the back 3 were all over the place, sometimes dropping back, sometimes not, switching places at random, the wingbacks were nowhere to be seen defensively. 

 

If Roman wants to remain a force in English football, he's going to have to put his hand in his pocket and spend like he hasn't spent since his first couple of years here.

 

 

Walcott admitting they went out for the second half to put 11 men behind the ball - that's the only reason we looked in any way better from the first half

I've said this for about 4/5 years now, we will never play as well when John Terry doesn't play. No organisation, no leadership and no heart.
 

I love Hazard when he's on top form but his mentality for this sport is all wrong and nothing short of embarassing for a player as talented as him. Ivanovic, Cahill and Matic have outstayed there welcome at this football club. Kante was appalling today but he's allowed an off day. Willian is becoming more and more pointless by the day, another player we need to replace sharpish. Fabregas was poor but who wasn't?

Not surprisingly, Diego Costa was our only decent player today once again. Rest of the team should be writing a letter of apology to him and the fans for that abysmal performance. (Joke)

 

You have to fear it might be years and years until we challenge for the title again. No ambition shown by the board, current players are crap and half a dozen teams are currently speeding past us in squad quality.

you what makes me angry? probably only few player will feel bad about their performance - others probably won't care as long as the paycheck comes in

Hazard was among the worst performers in the game, truly shocking.. kante was pretty good in the 1st 30 minutes or so but after that, he's going downhill.. costa started sharp and hungry, it's actually a good performance from him but ironically he didn't muster a single shot on target in the whole game.. It's truly a case of him not getting service in this game...

 

 

 

 

Already sh*tting myself about playing city....

so the next 3 are away at Hull (3 points surely?) home to Leicester (who knows we could be 2-0 down in 20 minutes again) and Man United at the Bridge (potentially another embarrassment)  

I've just seen the first goal back, my stream cut when it happened live, many said and fought tooth and nail that it wasnt his fault at swansea where other like myself says he dithers on the ball, thats 2 goals conceded by him in the same way in a handful of matches, totally unacceptable for a veteran several PL winning and CL winning CB, he is done, this isnt his level.

I think kante is trying to play to far up. He needs to sit further back to better protect the back four.

If I was conte I would have had JT stand near the defensive end with a megaphone and yell out commands. Is that within the rules? Sounds like a joke but it couldn't get any worse.

if he does that i will lose all trust i have on him
but, i believe he's not going to do that (hopefully)

Embarrassing. 

Conte has only himself to blame for that. Cahill has been a joke for weeks and Ivan's been a disaster for well over 12 months yet keeps selecting them in important games. 

I'm sorry but that's sheer bad management. 

Remember the club never signed the players conte wanted, like he was probably promised when he signed, to play the system he wanted to play. Cahill and Ivanovic are not ballers, so playing from the back isn't working, that's simply where the game was lost today. We were pressed high and couldn't cope with it.

I feel that the system isn't balanced. Dave on the left, Eden on the left, we never put in a ball from the left side. Any decent player knows these guys are going to their right foot. 

Matic and Kante are doing the same job, we don't need matic in there tbh.

I honestly think we are in for another tough year. 

Think we need to do business with Real Madrid see if bale and hazard do a swap deal. Hazard great on his day but we need a left winger with pace to burn. 

Need defenders to ideally replace all the ones we have apart from Dave, and we need an absolute baller in the middle of the park. If we are to get back to where we should be. 

Sad times.

hopefully next week JT will be back - that'll let Conte drop Cahill. I'd like him to drop Ivan and play Alonso or Aina
