Bit confused here (maybe mixing different stories/press theories) but if Ivanovic is being dropped who'd be the third CB in this 3 man defence we're apparently playing?

Regardless, we need to get an early goal today, can't afford to concede first again. Hoping to see Costa and Batshuayi together from the start.

I fancy my boy Diego to win us this one, he'll be well up for it after being so isolated against Arsenal.

Hazard owes big time today after his sh*t shower of a performance last week.

Reckon we might see Oscar back for this one so I'm braced for the pre match whinge-athon once the teams are announced.

Win of lose, up the blues. Come on Chels!

I think rather than moaning about the starting line up people should support the eleven lads on the pitch!

I think when at least half of those players don't put in a performance that warrants support people have every right to moan

One doesn't preclude the other

Chelsea XI V Hull City: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Cahill, David Luiz, Kante, Matic, Moses, Willian, Hazard, Diego Costa. #CFC

Interesting that also neither Oscar or Fab are playing. Fair to give Moses a start ... he has earned it I reckon. Don't see many through balls in this line-up, though. Anyway ... good to see some changes!

Cahill...WTF....:face_palm: expect another clanger

Indeed, I have to say that he looks like lad who needs a break! But we're short on options at the moment.

Looks like Luiz is at LB and Alonso at CB? That's odd

Huh? I thought Alonso was LB. So Dave as RB, Cahil and Luiz as CBs and Alonso as LB. Or is there a 3-5-2 here somewhere?

Same old, same old. Only difference is Alonso. Conte needs to be more risk taking than this. I hope this formation works out but I forsee problems.

Youve never been in a match thread before then....

That simply will not happen unfortunately.

probably not..just the way the names came out of the hat.  Would not have dropped Cesc though, would have taken Matic out also

Not sure. Guess we'll have to wait and see
