November 5, 20169 yr What a game and what an atmosphere at The Bridge. I haven't seen such a good football in a while, totally dominating and with a great quality on the ball. I hope the team can maintain this level. It was sad to see how 15-20 minutes into the second half most of the Everton fans were leaving and their stand was empty. Is that how they support their team?
November 6, 20169 yr Bloody hell, Stan Collymore is still going on making an ass of himself. I don't know why he feels he needs to call out Chelsea fans for getting on certain players backs last season. What does he want us to do, keep on going on about it ? Personally, i would rather leave last season's shambles in the past, and if we can keep up performances like we have today, then that will be very easy to move on from.
November 6, 20169 yr Wow - we were awesome tonight. Conte has liberated all the pent up talent in this side. You can see the confidence oozing from every player, there appear to be no weaknesses because everyone is so comfortable with the formation. Everyone knows their job and the width that Alonso and Moses are gviing us is creating so much freedom for Eden Hazard it's unbelievable. Antonio Conte - you're the man

Long season don't look at immediate gratification, you always want your top 4 rivals losing points at this stage in the season, always. Edited November 6, 20169 yr by DonAntonio

November 6, 20169 yr Watching the game now and I loved when pedro did that threaded pass to Costa and Everton keeper for the ball first, Costa was on the ground and first thing he did was try get up to chase for the ball. This Costa is levels ahead of what he was before.
November 6, 20169 yr This was one of the best performances of "Pure football" that I've seen us put together since Carlo's double winning season. Back then, I think we scored 7 goals or more on 4 occasions in a home game. I wouldn't put it past this lot to emulate that if they keep playing like this. Every single player is working for the team and tackling back as soon as the ball is lost, every single player is working for his mates, every single player is playing his bloody heart out. It's beautiful to see a Chelsea side once again showing the same commitment and love for the shirt as the "REAL" fans do week in week out. I've seen a lot of stuff, good, bad and ugly over 51 years but at the moment, I'm enjoying a nice warm feeling that at last our club is, once again on the front foot. There's a long road ahead, and there will be some bad results to stomach, but I genuinely believe that we can finally put the Mourinho ghost to bed and look forward to a bright future with Antonio Conte in charge. COYB's !!!
November 6, 20169 yr Somebody pinch me...this turnaround is as big a turnaround (for the better thank goodness), as our rapid decline last season...can't believe what I'm seeing...just trying not to get too excited/carried away
November 6, 20169 yr That fourth goal...takes my breath away...one of the best team goals I have ever seen us score
November 6, 20169 yr This result I cannot believe. Really takes your breath away. Emphatic win, total domination and a clean sheet to boot. A few games ago, I was whingeing about another wasted season. I was wrong (I hope), as I see this squad as being nothing but the best in the PL. Now is the time we do not need a break from the momentum...
November 6, 20169 yr It's genuinely unbelievable how good we look at the moment. It can't last forever, but while it does, I will enjoy every minute of it. Delightful to watch.

He has always been a bitter Chelsea hating w**ker ... This is a man who did whole 2 hours on talksh*te on why Drogba was not a great stricker after Drogs had just murdered Liverpool If you had a mate who beat up a woman in a bar you would not give him the time of day...... blames his "demons" as if he was mentally ill or going through a phase in his life, tell that to the poor woman you kicked the crap out of and humiliated in public bar f**k off Collymore
November 6, 20169 yr On a more positive note, can't let yesterday's performance go with out a post. That was the best I have seen from us since early Jose first time round. Reminded me very much of when we had Robben and Duff just purring.... and it is Hazard and Pedro who a good majority had in our "sell now" list last season and the start of this. A lot of us were massively underwhelmed by the signing of Luiz and Alonso and Matic, Cahill and Tibo were a busted flush. The turn around has shocked me in the in its swiftness as much as last years fall. The fact of the matter is this was always an excellent squad we have just found an exceptional manager. Lets hope it is sustained; Spurs and City coming up. Do what we did yesterday to them will be stunning. KTBFFH

COYB's !!! Good for you to acknowledge that.. Btw, it's not only under carlo but also under some managers like scolari and even jose but it didn't last long.. The latter didn't seem too keen on flair football that we can produce, an annoying intereference from him put the handbrake and while the former is keen on flair, unfortunately he couldn't man manage thus a breakdown in harmony putting all the stop.. The most important thing for a manager is to create a good team spirit within the team AND allowing them to play.. hopefully conte is doing that..
November 6, 20169 yr Missed this one due to family commitments, gutted obviously, but delighted with the performance and result! Seen the highlights on MOTD. Gary Lineker said Hazard put in one of the greatest individual displays EVER at the Bridge, some statement as there have been a few over the last decade plus. Seen a few posts rueing the upcoming international break, isn't it nice though to not go into them with the view to 'put things right' over the time off.

November 6, 20169 yr Normally keep things in perspective, just like after Man United game where i felt 4-0 was harsh on them. And didn't like seeing us retreat so much. But: This was the best performance I have seen in years. It was complete. Every single player was excellent and you could see the confidence spread as the game went on. We pressed the ball for 90mins, the defence were aggressive and we didn't let them take control for any amount of time. Our attack was quick and incisive. We played good one touch football to retain possession and the most important is we had an identity and a plan. SO many times in the past two years I've seen a lack of clear plan. Matic has become a monster again and I think him and Kante deserve extra credit as they get through an unbelievable amount of work. Costa and Hazard are fitter and sharper. Moses is made for the WingBack role and even a guy called Pedro decided to roll back the years. If we can keep this up we have every chance. Was a joy to watch.
November 6, 20169 yr It's interesting reading the Grand Old Team Everton forum match thread. Most of their fans blame Jagielka ( many saying he is "fat") for their loss. They also throw a lot of stick at their goalkeeper "Stek", saying he is total trite. Coleman is "finished". And apparently Hazard is a "very good player made to look great by rubbish defending".
November 6, 20169 yr god our form feels so good right now, i don't want it to end. the heaped praise for our exciting football is making me dizzy ha!

November 6, 20169 yr Superb performance by everyone yesterday. Hazard was MOM for me but everyone deserves a mention. Conte is proving to be an excellent coach. He really is getting the best out of our players. My one worry is if Courtois or Costa get injured. I have no faith in Begovic and Batman is yet to prove himself leading the line.So far, so good. This team look like top 4 material or even Champions but as we know, it's a long season.
November 6, 20169 yr I highly recommend reading the whole Everton forum match thread if you have an hour or so to waste, great entertainment, GOT meltdown. The game starts on page 20... https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/chelsea-v-everton-saturday-5-november-17-30.92531/page-21
