Surely you should hate this idea, he's not expensive or world class and it's the kind of signing a mid table or top 4 hopeful would make.

Because his end product just sucks. Not a single goal last season. When he is the danger zone, he always take the wrong decision.

Plenty of guys with great dribbling, and fast feed, but small brain. To be at highest level, you have to think and take decision fast. That boy can`t do it.

I doub`t he even be a good player, forget greate or world class.

Jesus wept, he's 21. How many 21 year old do you know with good decision making? Look at Charly Musonda. I can't think of a single player in the prem except Hazard that has the natural dribbling ability of Adama. Knowing when to pass and shoot can be worked on. Also, look at the team he was in. No wonder he didn't score any goals, their main striker barely even scored and they scored less than Sunderland ffs.

This is one transfer rumour that I can see happening - lowly priced (8 million pounds) and no meaningful competition for his signature.  Perfect Board signing.

No he didn't.  He ran around a lot with the ball, but produced absolutely f**k-all. I'd be quite happy letting someone dribble around in front of me in defence, running backwards and forwards across the pitch and never lifting his head at all.  They could do that all day long when we are in front.

I remember him tearing Arsenal's back line to pieces last year and he set a new EPL speed record of 37km per hour doing so...

Almost set Negredo up on the edge of the box until Courtois pulled off a nice save. Almost blitzed past Alonso every time like he wasn't even there.

And how did those matches end?  Did he score?  Assist?  Did the team win?  or draw?  SWP used to tear back lines apart for fun, but didn't have any end product, either.

Perhaps he should have speared Courtois out of the way to make the goal? You can't discount someones good play just because a keeper made a great save. No wonder our youth never make it when a young talent like Adama are over looked by our fans.

No, I discount his play because there is very little end product, he is fast and dribbly in the same way as a Jack Russell chasing a tennis ball is fast and dribbly.  Head down and "look at my fancy tricks".  Someone said in another thread that we need to be looking to step up a level or two in any purchases that we make in order to be consistently at Europe's top table.  Buying the flavour of the month for a position that we already have better players in is not stepping up.

In two years time he may well be that step up we looked for. I'm not saying buy him and expect him to start but for the rumoured 8M there is a little no no risk in what could be a class player in a couple of years. 

could be, true.  But then SWP was an England International for a short time.

Yep but Troare was playing with poor players around him...with better players and better coaching we may get a better player with better outcomes...at only 21 there's still a lot that can be done to significantly improve his overall game...at only costing £8m that's not too great a risk either...

is this another empty rumour from a sh*t source? i'm guessing it originated from one of the mirror, sun, metro or daily star.

How many times do players with extremely poor decision making change to have good in that regard?

For years people kept saying with SWP and Lennon "they are young, give them time", we kept waiting for them to be more productive and it never, ever came. The extreme likelihood is Adama is going down the exact same route.

You're right, he was playing with poor players, but he was also one of those poor players. Pace isn't everything in football, if he didn't have it, then nobody would be interested because he has nothing else in his game. Even his dribbling isn't great, it's erratic. Like Sterling, Lennon, SWP, he's not really using any dribbling ability, he is just running fast with the ball at his feet. Anybody with pace can do this. He may well be only 21 and can work at things in his game, but at 21 he should still be showing something, he hasn't shown anything.

You're probably right but I'd happily give the lad a chance...besides SWP is finding Didier OK in Canada
