Dunno. Didn't understand your question so I threw in some random answers.

You actually think our league season needs kick-starting?

That was the bit that I thought clearly marked it out as sarcasm...

Thank God for that

I really wonder what our fans think such matches are like. It isn't that easy. The other team plays the match for a reason, they would give us a walkover otherwise. Wolves put in a good performance with the loud backing of loud house.

This was a good win, an excellent second half performance. Not once did we look like we would lose this match. Such reactions on a day when two Prem sides were beaten and City were held to a draw. Reaction without context is, well, irrational to say the least. Match threads blow my mind...

Ake was very good and Chalobah didn't look out of place (although clearly several disagree).

Someone even said Begovic must go/isn't good enough from this performance. Why? How? What did he do wrong?

Begovic was indecisive on crosses,  allowing far too many to float into the box. And was sloppy with his distribution. Cant really blame him there hes played in teams that smash it long every time hes had it so its not in his culture to find a pass.

I always think any criticism is harsh of a reserve keeper playing there first game in ages (or at least playing very sporadically), it must be very difficult to get a performance in that situation, more so than any other position on the pitch.

dont disagree but today showed there is a clear gulf between him and courtois, and that if we can get some ££ for him, there are better options.

the Match did not disappoint nor exceeded my expectations.

I had to get up from my seat twice in 90 mins in excitement ..just..if you ask me..felt my heart beat for once..not bad

Ake solid
Pedro not quite strong enough for wing back. Shame really as would be a great alternative otherwise.
Hazard not really putting 100% in. Understandable.

Zouma quick but imperfect. Not quite reliable enough.
Moses's crossing certainly imperfect but no worse than Pedro.

Fab hit quite a few bad passes as well as some good ones
Kante lifted the tempo and we looked sharper straight away.
In the end a comfortable win

I thought "Demote Moses to the wilderness squad." was pretty damning of the post as a sombre critique, but if the ruse held all the way to the last sentence then I'm awarding myself a Harvey Wallbanger.

In my defence, your ruse wasnt much more deranged than many of the mental things posted in match day threads.

Good win in the end. I think a few people here expected us to unpick them in the second half and so it happened, but what was that awkward performance in the first half? That wasn't just because of the weird line up, was it?

Anyway, it's fair to say that this game did not much to reassure everyone that the poor display at Burnley was a one-off...

I think at this stage of the season when tiredness starts becoming a factor, results probably matter more than performances. It's all about grinding out the wins. Also I've said before but if it wasn't for that silly Matic foul we'd have won the Burnley game.

We were far from poor at Burnley.  For sure we were not at our ever-fizzing best but we were not poor.

We dominated most of the game time with virtually all the play at their end of the pitch in both halves.

Conditions were, however, poor - it snowed all match and the temperature was at around 2C (according to our car thermometer en-rout to the match)e which is not conducive to great football.  Apart from that the pitch was a mare - it was water logged (drainage issue probably) and the grass had been cut long in the typical fashion of home teams short on technical skill.  On top of that Burnley were a *loody nightmare with their cynical 'just below the radar' physical tackles and I'm not even going to mention the time wasting.

I thought we did ok in tough conditions.

Seems to me that some people expect us to romp home with 4/5/6 - nil wins etc simply because a team is below us in the league - in this case a team with the 3rd best home record to date in the league - first being us, Spuds second and then Burnley.  It was hardly going to be a walk in the park.

To be honest, I didnt know what to make of his posts myself. It had to be sarcasm I told myself but who knows really nowadays...

Not been home long...horrible performance but we got the job done...Hazard has gone from the sublime to the ridiculous...not great last week, but terrible today...is he worn out?

Well, i got the line up totally spot on, only difference is I would swap pedro and willian position.. It's a pitty that some players didn't really look up for it because this is a good chance given by the manager to showcase our attacking quality.. Well, anyway we got the job done...

When is the draw? Does anyone know?

Sunday evening at 6.30. It is live on BT Sports and FATV Channel on YouTube.

I predict we get Middlesbrough at the Bridge.

He looks totally dis-interested last two games. One stage yesterday the wolves right back just dribbled inside him, and Hazard didn't even make an attempt to stop him.

Hope it's just tiredness, but I have a bad feeling he'll look for a move in the summer.

Of the youngsters, changes, Chalobah was the biggest disappointment for me...looked totally out of his depth...hope it was just one of those days because I can see Conte buying at least one midfielder in the summer
