Didnt think we played that badly. First half an hour marred by individual errors on the ball. After that thought we dominated the game, and tried to play in the right manner.

 

Plus Points: Ake, think he is ideal for the left CB role. Similar to Azpi in size and stature. Fabregas very good and hopefully thatll push him into PL 1st team. Thought moses worked very hard too, just needs to add an end product.

Negatives: Chalobah needs to speed up. Ability is there but not doing enough at the moment. Hazard. Love him but one of the worst halfs ive seen him play that first 45. Begovic, get rid. Not good enough with feet or crosses. Zouma, looks a nervous wreck out there. IN that wide CB role he sees far more of the ball, and technically he isnt that great. Needs to play a central role.

Wolves played a much better game than they did against the dippers which was to be expected really....we made hard work of it but showed our class in the 2nd half...onwards n upwards

Aaaanyway back on topic. Got the result in the end, Ake was our best player I thought, looked very solid.

Clinging on by our fingertips there. . Definitely demote Moses to the wilderness squad. But who knows, this dire win might kick start our season in the prem.

Think zouma had another bad game, looks unsure of himself. I wouldn't be surprised if he is sold in the summer with Christensen coming back and buying one more.

chalobah looked fine but unfortunately I have a feeling he won't be good enough to displace Matic (and I think we need a serious improvement on him next year).

terry was class, costa was good, ake class, Moses off with final touch but good energy, fabregas was great as usual, hazard didn't look up for it, Willian looked ok.

Someone mentioned beating PSG earlier in this thread. We need an improvement on Cahill, matic, Pedro/Willian if we are going to compete with them - let alone win.

Come on, Moses has been great this season we can't dump him based of one game. Also someone else said in this thread but he could be tired. That wingback role is pretty tiring and he's been first choice pretty much all season.

Tough game, we didn't look good, but still won it. Much better second half, our defense looked good and strong, but our attack had a poor night.

Chalobah had a very good second half, same as Terry, Zouma and Ake.

Hazard has put a very poor performance, Diego Costa was also out of the game, our key players didn't turn up today.

But now we have few days to work on it and come stronger to the league!

Overall , we got the job done. And there are no easy teams in this competition to especially away! Wolves were playing out of their skins! They already knocked Liverpool out. 

 

First half we were not at it at all and wolves probably should have scored with a missed sitter.

second half we started to play with intent and finished them off.

terry looked very solid in defense. Ake too. Zouma had a few suspect moments and bad passes.

 

Thought JT was really solid at the back...especially good given the limited opportunities he's had this season...Zouma settled in the second half...and Ake was good throughout...Hazard was disappointing and Moses's crossing technique seems to be limited to hitting the ball as hard as possible at the first man...overall though a good effort against a spirited and well backed Championship team...come on who fancies Millwall away!!

1 out of 15-20 crosses is very poor and for me he hasn't been that good in the final third for a while now. I don't know if it's a lack of concentration or tiredness, but we need a second RWB option for next season.

He is a very hard worker but I feel his end product lets him down. Crossing/ passing and shooting.

today he got into some good areas but his crosses and passing were diabolical. 

71% pass accuracy today.

I was really happy for Moses when he played his way in, started off amazing, tapered off a bit, thing is he normally gives 100% but his 100% is about 75% of what we need, he should deffo see out the season and stay in the squad, but next year starting 11, in the CL, I don't see it.  Hard to bash the guy because I love the story and his determination not to get derailed, he has made a great effort but I don't think it's unfair to say we need a bit more if we are going to compete with elite clubs.
